2025 G63

Anyone else notice they didn't update the shift or turn signal stalk to the new generation? I dunno folks, I had a '22 and now a '24 G63 and honestly, short of MBUX and the electric motor assist, I think the changes are a little too mild for all the hype. I don't think the market won't put the same premium on these the way they did when the 2019s were introduced. And I think the pre-2025's will hold their value better than expected.

This was all part of the announcement so no one should be surprised and of course the pre-25's will do fine for resale...its essentially the same car.

I agree with both of your observations. The biggest changes seem to be the addition of MBUX and the little electric motor. Otherwise, it's the same car as the '24. To each his own, but I'm not a fan of the louver-looking air intakes on the front bumper. I'm definitely keeping my '24. I'm just tracking the '25 because my wife wants one.

Good points. The active ride control does sound interesting indeed. As for the performance package that increases the max speed, I think I'm fine with the '24's limited 137 mph. I honestly don't believe I'm brave enough to ever try to hit 137 mph in a G class... Once I get my wife the '25, I will report any noticeable differences between the two.

That's weird. My dealer told me the '24 doesn't come in the performance package with the speed limit eliminator. Perhaps it was because mine was built really late in the cycle (March of 2024)? Regardless, 137 mph is more than enough for me. Have fun with your '25.

I just looked at the window sticker and you’re correct, it doesn’t show it on my 2024. I know I definitely had it on my 2021 and paid $2200 for it and never used/ needed it.

On my build it is $4400 for the performance package and it does show the wheels in techgold in the package, however there is another line item for the wheels at $5350 for the RP5 wheels. By default the Performance package does come with the techgold wheels but they are charged full price. SO it does make sense if you chose black or other wheels that the price added on your buillds is appropriate. Considering the top speed limiter which was available as a pre 25 option and then the components for the suspension and the darkened elements I belies the $4400 price range is appropriate for that bunlde minus the wheel cost.

I am trading in my ‘24 and ordering a ‘25. The new active ride control is very appealing. This will be my 4th G Wagen. I put a lot of highway miles on the car and I know it will be a better ride.

I'm doing the same move. I really wish we'd see more reviews on this addition. In general I haven't seen a ton of great comparisons other than the earlier marketing reviews.
