2024 G63 ECU Tune
Looking to getting a Stage 1 ECU Tune for my 24 G63 eventually. Anyone here have experience with tuning their G63? Looking into AMR Performance Stage 1 Tune. Just a little skeptical on longevity of the engine if I tune it.

RENNtech is the gold standard for ECU tunes on the G550/63.

I've never had a tune with a G63 but agree with Renntech. Some MB dealers even sell it and in that case it won't void warranty.

Can run 91 or 93 octane and all safety parameters are kept. You can switch back to stock easily if taking to the dealership.
I had OE tuning on my m157 (GL63) for years with no issues.

I personally wouldn't do ECU tuning to a new G63. My concern is that it may void the warranty or worse, push a new engine and other mechanical components to run in a manner it wasn't intended to. I tend to be conservative in tinkering with factory mechanical settings. I would much rather just put my driving mode into S+, which gets me about 8 mpg in city driving. Please note I am not mechanically inclined and this is just my personal opinion. If you decide to move forward with it, please keep us posted.

Haha the first rule of G63 ownership is never, ever calculate the MPG.

To tune or not to tune, that is not the question (at least in this thread)! I recommend Renntech for the reasons given and their experience with MB; however, there are several reputable tuners so it comes down to a personal choice, and the cost varies if that matters. I have tuned countless sports cars and never had a problem and would not hesitate to do so again albeit I am getting a G580 so I doubt a tune will be available, at least for a while.
