I used this mount for the bracket:

Then used this MagSafe mount with it but could use any similar ball style mount if not using MagSafe

Powered by a dual USB/C 12v adapter and C cable is get 15w wireless charging.

Ran the cable to charger along dash and hid wire best I could.

Result:


Along side held by 3M double side tape and ran under bottom corner hidden under controls

Can’t close lid but that’s fine as always have a drink there. Dual port charger so wife/passenger can charge if needed.

I use this and it’s perfect for the G

 

I use the magbak case and magnet mount. The case has a magnet and you install a separate set of magnets on the dash. I have mine mounted just about the 3 locker buttons. It's a very slick / stealth mount option and is invisible. I'll try to take a pic later but it works amazingly well. The dual magnets hold incredibly well. Phone has never dislodged. The three little mags sticks right on the dash and is all you see for the mount. You can mount the phone verticle or horizontal.

Just got my 2024 G and wondering what you guys do with carplay and phone mount?
My wire goes from the center console and goes between the 2 parts of center console and my phone
goes in the cup holder. I feel the wire placement is bad and is in the way when using
the ring control.
the G has been out for a couple of years now. Anyone with more ideas?
why cant automakers think of phone placements smh

maybe wireless carplay adapter soo that would fix the cable.
but leaves how to charge the phone without sacrificing the cupholder cover closing…

i bought one that goes in the vents but it sucks cause our vents moves soo my mount pivots when im driving and turning.

I purchased one for vent too. It worked great. Didn't move. I preferred the other one.

So are you using parts from both of those items? It looks like you are using the mount from the first link and the magnetic phone holder from the second link. Is that correct?

 

I am. Both work great. I prefer the magnetic holder. For the price it was worth both.
