I think ADMs' on the G550 will soon be gone if not already. Three popped up locally this weekend at MSRP - Could be low MSRP models, not sure but looks like a sign of the times. This does not include G63's or G580's, have not seen any of these out yet.

Many dealers seem want anywhere from $30,000 to $50,000 USD over MSRP on the G 63. However, there are few out there who will do lower (those with none usually have a huge waiting list), and I found one who would do less than $20,000 but they have yet to give me a build date and I would need to get the vehicle this year.

Seems like a few are at MSRP for the G550 and G580 at least, but waiting lists seem super long. I'm seeing tons of G550s on lots though.

Keep in mind that for this calendar year, at least in the US, the G580 can only be bought in the First Edition spec, which starts at around $180k. I have 2 dealers that I am on their waiting lists at MSRP for a G580 but I want to spec my own so it will be in 2025. I am hoping the 2026 G580 will have the new Sila battery tech as well.

In other words, you're hoping to get it built in about a year as a 2026? I'd like to customize it also honestly. I'd take the blue exterior but really wanted a lighter interior.

Any more info on the sila battery tech?

I am surprised the G580 did not come with the Sila tech to begin with, to set it apart from the others, but maybe the allocations for CY26 build might offer it as an option, but I have no inside info. If I hear it is coming in for the 2026 model I will just have them give me their first allocation for one of those, which I can do at 1 of the dealers since I have been first in line at MSRP for over 1 1/2 years.

Interesting. I googled and found this 2022 press release from Mercedes.

May 17, 2022 – Mercedes-Benz takes another major step in building the world’s most desirable electric cars. The inventor of the automobile today announced that it will work with Sila, a next-generation battery materials company, to incorporate Sila’s silicon anode chemistry in batteries which are optionally available for the first time in the upcoming electric Mercedes-Benz G-Class. This will add another innovative cell chemistry to the Mercedes-Benz battery portfolio.

only a 240 mile range on the electric G. My SA asked if I was interested and I said, no.

Ehh, my Taycan is about the same and it's been okay for my use case. Of course the new Taycan are more.

yeah, it would be enough for city use, but not enough for highway use. Any idea when the Sila option will be available? The dealership have me an EQE loaner vehicle, it was at 33%. It took 1 hour 15 minutes to charge to 100%. I was going to go about 100 miles each way and they said it would be borderline if I could make it. After waiting for it to charge, they ended up getting me a gasoline vehicle to use. The GM said if I drove 73 mph both ways, I wouldn’t have had a problem. He didn’t tell me that until I picked my G up the next morning. I would have rather taken the EQE. It was a nicer car and brand new. I drove an EQS in the city and it was fine, but the brakes felt strange.

I only know what was made public in May - within 2 years. But to each their own - there are several models of the G available so buyers can pick what they want, not what someone else wants.

Spoke to a couple of dealerships I work with - mixed bag on the G580 - either ADM's or 12-18mo wait times lol. I got on the waiting list. Let's see what happens. I think there will be cancelations though.

I bit the bullet and got on the waiting list for a G580 at MSRP.

As you guys know there isn't any MSRP pricing yet - however my order sheet did have pricing for the Edition 1 package, paint color and some other items. Attaching it here in case it's useful for anyone.

I like south sea blue, I didn’t know it was a magno color? I ordered hyper blue. Do you have a production date? Congratulations and good luck!

I'm sure all the dealers are over estimating demand. And I think a ton will cancel their build orders. 🤞

I've bought a few from Fletcher Jones Newport, I place a deposit a few weeks back. They pretty much told me there will be an ADM, and it could be 10k-30k. They have such a wealthy client list that if I pass on the G63 after learning the ADM that wouldn't be a problem for them because they will have it sold by the weekend. Now I'm really debating about changing my build to something really crazy, something hard to sale. That way it won't be easy for them to sale if I didn't buy it.
