white waxy material being sprayed?

Anyone know what this is coming off a G63, towards the rear axle. Feels waxy and and malleable. Hadn't noticed it before today, no idea how long its been there.

That bigger lump is 1"-1.25" diameter.

Just an aside, why is my above photo being shown as a thumbnail instead of inline? Didn't use to do that. Have I changed a setting in error?

If I recalled correctly, all G wagens have some sort of factory coating to protect the underbody of the vehicle when off-roading. There was one instance because of this coating, it slipped off the hoist.

thanks hadnt found that post. maybe the same that OP doesn’t describe it other than rubbery and bubble.

anyway its not oil or transmission fluid so that’s good.

Mhmm, if it is the same thing then it is likely that protection coating.
