Im about to order a Mercedes G350d here in India, but the one thing which is stopping me is the current console which is super old and the fonts look horrible + no touch screen + no wireless Apple CarPlay.
I can order the car today and get it in July delivery here in India, but is there any insider news about Mercedes updating the W463 models with new MBUX same as GLS or S-Class may be for 2021 model ?
If yes, then Im ready to wait, as the current console is too old and poor with missing features.

FYI, a G350d here in India costs 275,000 USD with basic addons only. People in USA are lucky

It's possible for it to happen outside a refresh - look at the GT 4-door and the CLS.

There's no news or rumors of MBUX coming to the G for 2022, but you never know..

IM unable to find anything about the new refresh.
If the G-class can come with the the new MBUX same as GLS with touch screen, then I would love to wait and order in year end.

 

Just because of year 2022 model will be introduced, so I think they will changed it...

The fact is - there are no longer any Spring Intl Car Shows so without that Brand "Market New Competition" there are not any reasons' for MB to release "teasers" about MY2022.

End-April/early-May - Product-Development in Germany + Marketing Germany + Graz/Magna (the factory) will meet (virtual) and make the final mutual decision as to what will or will not change for MY2022.

In the History of the G-Wagen - the Power Train Changes have been selective following AMG Powertrain Development Schedule - Exterior/Styling Changes have been few - Recently Color and Interior Choices continue to expand (if not Explode) - and on Technology some make the case G-Wagen Tech Changes "should" the GLS/GLE updates.

Graz/Magna has a Mega-Vote/Mega-Veto in this scenario - since Graz is the ONLY MB-factory/Assembler who has delivered as ordered/on-time post-Covid since June - one heck of a fantastic job !
