OEM roof rack

OEM roof rack
Does anyone have a suggestion for a good roof rack for their G wagon? I see an OEM on ebay (link below) but it is no longer in stock and my dealer says sales of this item have been "suspended". Any suggestion would be appreciated. It appears the newer G wagons (2019+) have fitting in the roof to attach a rack but I do not see any racks made for the newer G wagons.

hi, to clarify you need all 3 things, before the actual roof top box. First item is the 2 cross rails, second is the “feet” for the rails, and 3rd is an adapter kit to let the feet attach to the hard points in the G’s roof.

Please post a pic when you have your rack installed and let everyone know how the wind noise is. Are you planning to use the rails to mount a ski cargo box or a camping platform?

Will do. My 2021 G63 (Dark Olive Green) is not arriving until April so just prepping for now. On my 2015 G550 I have Thule Gutter feet with square load bars and a ski rack and do not notice any wind noise. But obviously not as large as a cargo box. However, it does make the car much taller and I do not fit into most parking garages.

Interesting, the OEM still show as available on the German site (but discontinued on the US site like you said):

The Thule parts will be for 2 bars / 4 feet. The OEM bars were a kit of three. Not needed for skis / roof box, but just pointing that out.

correct statement by the poster above...Thule approach gets you 2 bars/4 feet/4 adapters, which then fits any of Thule roof top boxes. I guess you could add a 3rd bar/mounting hardware to accommodate a longer item.
I don’t have pics or feedback on road noise. I bought the hardware/bars but never bought a box. Got a hitch carrier and box for that instead. Bars, box in top and gets very high and difficult to use and definitely won’t fit in my garage when installed.
