would you pay $15k over MSRP for build 6 to 8 month from now or wait?
Hypothetical question Would you pay $15k over for build available 6 to 8 months or stay in line at msrp 50th in line and hope for the best?
What is you opinion on this build as well?
going with 21inch wheels because more winter tire sizes available. Please let me know if this is a mistake. Going with polar white instead of metallic because easier to match paint if scratched etc.
etc

15K over is nothing, I'd go with that. Wait in line doesn't guarantee anything. You may end up paying 50 or more over.
I just spoke to my salesperson with whom I have a 20 plus year relationship and he said the G market is out of control. He has people in line at 50K over. It's nuts right now.

Dude, if you can do it.
I know paying ADM sucks I know, but 15k is pretty much a steal in this market for only a 6-8 months wait is way worth it.
I paid 10k over and waited 8 months for my G63
If you can just do it, you won't be disappointed and if anything you can sell it in a few months for more than you paid for it even with the 15k ADM.

Well, I was offered less than 50 but I've known him well and my family has bought a couple dozen Benz cars from him, he has no need to BS me. Different relationship. Every market is different, 30K is pretty decent IMO.

I paid $25k for about a 5 month build since they already had allocation. Thought this was fair. Just picked her up about 2 weeks ago. $184k sticker. Absolute beast.

I paid $15K over MSRP for my 2020 G 63 last year. Just shrug it off. Life is short. A hundred years from now nobody will care anyway
I have 22 inch wheels, and I found quite a few good winter/snow tires.
Continental Viking Contact 7 (3PMSF Rated)
285/45 22 (11.2” wide x 32.1” tall which is 0.4” narrower and 0.8” taller than OEM tires.
I spoke to my Mercedes dealer, and a local tire shop, and they said the slight difference in size would not cause any problems.
These Continental tires got great reviews too.
