Did anyone ever figure out how to add the old W463 style "3rd row" jump seats to the 2019+ G class trunk?

I assume if it hasn't been done yet, it must be impossible/cost prohibitive?

 

You're not likely to find any off-the-shelf / W463 custom fit / DOT approved solution, but you could build your own using a seat such as https://www.suburbanseats.com/p/floo...categoryid=190 (assuming it fits). However, the G is classified as 5 passenger SUV - if you stuff more bodies into it, you could encounter difficulties in the event of an accident (or get ticketed for an over occupied vehicle). If you need extra seating, IMO, buy a 3-row SUV, minivan or Unimog.
