Probably a long shot, but any sales reps here or anyone that knows someone at a Mercedes dealer in Canada that can get me an allocation?
Will pay you for the referral!

If you're so desperate to score a G, why not just find one on autotrader and pay $280K? By the time your allocation arrives, the dealer might jack the price up beyond the price you negotiate, and even above current autotrader prices. Reality check: there are no bargains right now on any brand. Every dealer is leveraging chip shortages (whether real or make believe) to squeeze buyers. If you don't want to pay asking prices, sit it out.

Anyways, I’m not concerned about the asking prices, but I am concerned about the future value. If we’re in a bubble and prices tank back down to reality in 2023 for the G63s, it won’t sit too well with me.
Tough decision to make..

A G wouldn't be my choice for transporting commercial cargo - just not enough space even with the 2nd row seats folded. You might be able to find a 2021 Lexus LX at close to MSRP (about 1/3 the current G price). It's certainly a ride you'd find bearable for 2 years, and the cargo space is enormous without the 3rd row seat option.

Trade your Lamborghini in at August Motors in Kelowna for a new Gclass. They have two in stock right now and want trades! Or call the Mercedes dealer in Saskatoon and see if they have an allocation, that’s where I got mine from.

Yeah I know. The comment I was responding to was on comparing the cost of a Lexus LX to a G for commercial cargo hauling. Was just saying with the G, if you are using it for business purposes then at least you can claim the tax deduction. Assuming you're in the US...
