Got her delivered few days ago.

 

Cant wait to Receive my MY22 in October its a white on yacht blue with Night package 2!

 

If you're taking delivery in October it will be a MY21. All MY22 G's have been canceled.

 

Im not located in the US , i bought mine through a german dealership who ordered the car 2 years ago with the agreement of the car being MY2022 , they gave him a non binding delivery date in october

 

Do you understand what "non-binding" means? I'd be calling the dealer daily for status updates IIWY.

 

i didnt understand what he meant by non binding tbh but i feel like there is a twist .. found lots of 21s but waiting on this , your thoughts ?

 

Yeah they are a couple of issues with this... 1) your dealer can't order a G 2 years in advance and 2) if they didn't give you a PO and build decade then you probably just have an allocation. Also, non-binding means they don't have to honor the agreement and can cancel at anytime.

 

You need to ask the dealer what this means.

 

car is not under my name unfortunatly , its under a private dealer which he ordered through one of the mercedes dealers in germany so i told him i was interested .. he sent me the car configuration code also he told me the car should arrive in october but the date is non binding , im not ready to wait then i get told there isnt any car so what are your suggestions

 

There is no car -- what a surprise! You ordered a car through a private (e.g. not MB authorized) dealer who placed a non-binding order with a dealer in Germany. How did you ever imagine this was going to get you a G? My suggestion? Place a legitimate order with an authorized MB dealer in the country where you reside, sit back and wait.

 

No you misunderstood , guy ordered it from mercedes herbrand (authorized MB dealer in germany) .. car already being made in factory since july im just not sure when im gonna receive as the delivery date is non binding

 

First thing that’s a great looking G (and Lambo).

Thread went off the rails but the date being non-binding means the date can fluctuate and that’s not a big deal if that’s the only non-binding thing.

You need to ask for a purchase order number and maybe even VIN number at this point if it was built in July.

If they cannot give you a purchase order number then you have no car and they have wasted your time and money. If you have a purchase order then sit back and you’ll be fine—unless the dealer decides to charge you more last minute.

If the truck was built in July, it should have finished at least a month ago and delivery scheduled by now. MB doesn't make money letting sold vehicles sit around for weeks in a stock yard. I concur with others -- no P/O + no VIN + no build sheet = no vehicle. Why didn't you order it directly from the German dealer yourself, or from an authorized MB dealer? Best of luck to you, but IMO you're out of luck.

 

My car was built in July and it was delivered to me end of August.

The same rules should apply to you. Ask for a VIN from the dealer that placed your order.

Does anyone know if the yellow seatbelts are an option for the US. I just see red in the order guide.
