Im not located in the US , i bought mine through a german dealership who ordered the car 2 years ago with the agreement of the car being MY2022 , they gave him a non binding delivery date in october

Do you understand what "non-binding" means? I'd be calling the dealer daily for status updates IIWY.

car is not under my name unfortunatly , its under a private dealer which he ordered through one of the mercedes dealers in germany so i told him i was interested .. he sent me the car configuration code also he told me the car should arrive in october but the date is non binding , im not ready to wait then i get told there isnt any car so what are your suggestions

No you misunderstood , guy ordered it from mercedes herbrand (authorized MB dealer in germany) .. car already being made in factory since july im just not sure when im gonna receive as the delivery date is non binding

Thread went off the rails but the date being non-binding means the date can fluctuate and that’s not a big deal if that’s the only non-binding thing.
You need to ask for a purchase order number and maybe even VIN number at this point if it was built in July.
If they cannot give you a purchase order number then you have no car and they have wasted your time and money. If you have a purchase order then sit back and you’ll be fine—unless the dealer decides to charge you more last minute.
