Finding a Cat back exhaust in the UK
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to know if anyone has installed a cat back exhaust on their own g63 AMG (W463a). I have a 2021 model, and I want an exhaust system just like Shmee's Akrapovic one, but i'm not willing to drive all the way to Germany or France one get one fitted on my car. I'm open to other exhaust brand suggestions, as i've look pretty much everywhere i can think of.
All suggestions and help are/is appreciated.

I have the Brabus catback on my 2019 UK G63, sounds great but not as loud as Shmee's Akra as his is decatted.
Why can't you buy the Akra catback here? Peron will supply and fit or plenty of other fitting options.

I managed to find it, while searching on my laptop instead of my phone. But Thankyou for the recommendation.
However, I saw in another thread that after my car turns 3 years old, I'd fail an MOT due to removing the OPF filter (2nd cat/resonator). Assuming I actually went through with a Akra catback installation. Is it true?

Or speak to Ricky at REPerformance, he sourced and fitted (for free) an Akra for my A45S, good guy and knows Akra well.

Thankyou for the recommendations; I will contacting them both tomorrow.
Another thought: Would it be worth buying both the Akra Evolution slip on and the link pipe, then swapping out the link pipe, for the stock link pipe (which includes the 2nd cat), when it comes to MOT time. My insurance company would still know i'd have an exhaust system on, and i'm confident i would still get an MOT pass.
Opinions?

You could go for it and find a friendly MOT shop when its due but if it was me, I wouldn't want the hassle.
If you wanted to go the Brabus route, speak to Alex Graham at MB Brooklands, he sorted mine. I'm not sure what their 2021 system comprises, my G is a 2019 so never had a GPF.

Cutting? If it thats the case then I'll stick to the Akra Muffer Exhaust or your Brabus one then, as i don't want to risk voiding warranty or anything of that matter.
Again, Thankyou!
Again, Thankyou!

I understand it can be done without the angle grinder but is a full engine out job which again is a non starter for MOT purposes. I've heard Shmee's car in person and its too loud for me anyway despite the hassle and non-reversible work involved.
