G quirks...LA & Remote Start
I know all manufacturers have their own designs or patents but why couldn't MB take a page out of GMs book when it comes to Lane Assist and Remote start.
I have a Yukon and love the LA and remote start. I see we all turn off LA on the G.
Why have the remote start turn off when u unlock the doors. Is this standard or a setting?

Regarding lane assist, this is yet highly experimental and I suspect MB is collecting data (it's camera based, so MB is likely collecting video snippets) on its behavior and efficacy.

My guess is that this is MB's take on vehicle security. Remote start and run requires a locked vehicle -- you can't unlock it, and then decide you need to run back into Starbucks for a refill and leave your car unlocked and running.

Several cities have enacted ordinances that outlaw "puffing" - letting your unlocked vehicle sit in your driveway idling so it warms up while you have your second cup. Thieves drive around looking for idling cars to steal and police have enough to do without responding to preventable car thefts.

How about being able to turn on the heated seats, adjust the temp, or heated steering with the app….
You can adjust the ambient lighting from the app, but not the temperature….
