Talking Mercedes-Benz Cancels Almost Every V8 Model For 2022 in US, but what in EU?

Hi guys, Mike here, forum newbie, firstly i'd like to welcome family of G Wagon. I just ordered G63 MY 2022 in Poland, its country where i live.
I heard that Mercedes-Benz cancels almost every V8 Model For 2022 in US, but i'm wondering what situation is in EU? I'm a little bit afraid, cause dealer ask me to wait till december 2022 to colect my order(i paid advance of 3k $), he ensure me MB don't stop production for our region. Maybe you guys have some informations about these? I know that, I'm from Europe not you LOL but Just wondering, maybe someone heard something

Welcome to the G community - I hope your vehicle comes through for you next year. There's been a lot of chatter on this forum about MB's suspension of most V8s for next year in the U.S. and Canada. MB's press release (attached) is entirely vague about the matter. A recent auto magazine article has an MBAG executive citing "quality" issues. Speculation is that MB sells too many large engine vehicles here, and has reached its fleet-wide sales fuel economy limit set by the government. Nobody knows how the G will be reincarnated when delivery resumes in late '22 or in '23 -- smaller 3L 6 cylinder, hybrid, all electric "EQG"? You're much closer to the EU situation than many other forum members, and we're anxious to hear anything you can report from over there.

As far as I know, all V8 models remain on sale in Europe, they certainly are in the UK where I'm based. Of course, there are delays in production due to the widely reported supply chain issues.

Hope your wagon arrives sooner than Dec 22!

Man, I really appreciate that warm meeting! As far as I know, like my dealer and few others for ex. Munich, Berlin, Warsaw, Cracow in Poland and Germany ensure me, that they don't stop production for Europe. Factory of Gelendawagen is located in Graz, Austrian City, so transporting cars by land is not that much difficult . IF they say there's no suspending of that engines in EU that's mean 2 reasons, for my humble opinion ofc. First reason limit set by the U.S. goverment, second - Shipping price is ridiculous, and so it's too expensive. We have to live in so odd world right now. I hope guys, everyone of us just get arrival sooner that we think. If I find out anything new about production, i'll immediately report it here. Have a great day!

Shipping to North America only becomes too expensive when the "RORO" ships capsize, and this seems to happen more frequently than would be expected!
