Personally I think they are overrated, overpriced and look dated.
For 75K or more, I'd cash out.

5% is a drop in the bucket when they're starting at $75-125K over MSRP. That said, I also believe they've peaked, the question is how far will they fall. I don't think we're going to see them at MSRP for at least a few more years.

As would I, it's unfortunate the 550's haven't appreciated nearly as much as the 63's.

if MB is not happy w dealers selling over MSRP, early production of 23 model will burst the bubble.
MB is trying to market AMG as an independent brand, so maybe this is the first step to rebrand G63 and increase the price. Autotrader prices are down indeed while if there is no more allocations, it should be up. Throwing an extra +100k , price of a new S class , to get a G is not a great idea for everyone.

the highest priced G in Canada right now is $419,995 CAD. i bought mine for msrp @ $240,000 CAD in jan of 2021 and currently has 15,000 kms on it .. mine doesn't have the night package or the red interior so probably worth 360 or 370...

not sure what these resellers/ exporters are betting on ... that one announcement from MB stating that production will resume should be enough for this bubble to go kaput ..

No. 1,439 G in total on just auto reader and safe to say 1,600.

Now there is 991 g63, not 978. Dealers are in business of flipping cars, not letting them sit. N they’d rather take a loss than sit on a car after 60-90 days.

Prices won’t fall for good priced vehicles, but no one is paying 100k over.

my guess is.. the dealer that bought my 2020, will take a 10% loss.

In my opinion the new G-class has been over produced and oversold, since 2019 MB sold more than 24,000 units to the US, that is more than all the previous model Gs sold in the US from 2009-2018 combined. Almost everyone who had purchased the old one and ordered an upgrade early on got one along with some new customers but this is not sustainable for a mass produced car that starts at 1.5 X the price of the S`class, we are talking 10s of thousands of gas guzzling expensive to maintain cars at almost $200K price point. The brake job alone every 30,000 miles on that car is $10K! Not even the S-class at $100K in it’s heydays sold that many. Cars commanding that type of price do not exceed 2000 units per year in the US so something has to give soon! The refresh and the end of the supply chain issues will also help bring the price back to normal.

I have asked before about this -- how does one wear down rotors and pads in only 30K miles?

happened to me too. Tried to clean up the rotors and just go with new pads but only lasted another 10k miles. Just replaced all four sets of everything for 6k from my local indy. Dealer was 11k which is BSFC.
