2021 G63 Build - 700HP63
Finally got most of the build done, and some pictures taken. We wanted to do something different, so we went with champagne gold accents. We love the way it turned out, but understand it isn't for everyone. It's just nice to have something a bit different than all the other G's rolling around. It definitely stands out!
Specs:

We decided not to smoke the headlights and turns even though the taillights got smoked. Essentially just wanted to get rid of red and orange lights and keep the headlights matching the Mansory LEDs.

Thanks. Yeah, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I appreciate the compliment on the execution.

Totally subjective but pretty much the only reason Im going to opt for the night package is because it makes the outer circle LED stand out more and give it more of a halo eyes look.

nice build. have you noticed if the front radar signal get a bit attenuated because the radar receiver is behind the mesh grille? where did you end up putting the display and the controller for the maxci360?

From everything that I had read, it was advised against putting the radar receiver behind a mesh screen, anything metal, or made of carbon fiber. I ended up installing mine in one of the openings on the lower bumper where you installed the Mansory LED lights at. Still get false K though but I think that's mainly due to Escort's filtering abilities. I would think if the LKA radars on the G were causing the falses, the escort would be alerting constantly since the LKA radars are always active.

Solid build. Looks Clean.
Couple thoughts and questions:
Are those the euro side-strips and where did you source, if you don't mind the ask? Looks good w/o reflectors.
One aesthetic note, did you think about doing side steps wrapped or painted to match the bull bar, trim, etc. Just a thought and maybe you chose not to for a reason, just might look cool considering. I am going to powder coat or wrap mine in black.
And question, with all that HP, how is taking off with those mud tires? Love how they look, but are they loud and do they grip?
Great job!

My bad, I see the steps are Black now... the reflections on the first images threw me. Looks strong. Are they wrapped or powder coated?

Thanks. Yes, the side markers are smoked with vinyl. I've done this on a few G's and it holds up pretty well. It's not terribly expensive to do, so if they look crummy in a couple of years it's not a big deal to get them done again.

They are wrapped black. Powdercoating is doable, but getting the rubber strips out, and then putting them back in is a total nightmare. Wrapping them wasn't terribly expensive, and easy to get done again in a year or two if they look worn. We did this on the '20 model, and they held up great for a year. Granted, the truck is a garage queen, and only got driven 5,000 miles in a year and a half, but for the most part they didn't have any noticeable wear.
The tires ride great, but they do get a little squirmy at full launch. These trucks have torque steer to begin with, and tall tread blocks don't do anything to improve that issue. However, it's usually only from a dead stop, or slow roll to full throttle that you notice it. And it's not like it isn't controllable. Just a little twitchy. Worth it for the looks in our opinion.

Nice job...I appreciate customizing like you have done, and it reminds me of what I did the G550 I sold not too long ago. But I do the same again when I get my EQG (deposit given & first in line at the dealer).

Thank you! I think we ended up settling on 10.5" wide with +12 offset.
Thanks. Yeah, I saw all the custom bits you did on your 550. It turned out nice. Your side step wrap job helped convince me to do it on a couple of Gs. I had contemplated it, but wasn't sure how it would hold up. It's been decent, and much easier than powdercoating!
