Your experience with Matt (Magno) paint / How do you protect it?

Hi,
For the G in Magno paint, (or any Merc in this paint type), how do you protect it?

as an owner:
  • Did you have any buyers remorse later after few months / year that you should have gotten a Metallic?
  • How do you protect it? Do you go with Full body PPF? Does that hold well? Do you then treat the car normally and take it Hand car washes normally?
  • Does the car need any kind of maintenance to look like new? How does it look when you don’t clean it for couple of days?

any comment / feedback will be appreciated.

I've have experience with several of the matt PPF films out there. My pecking order is as follows:

Xpel Stealth - https://www.xpel.com/products/paint-...n-film/stealth

Suntek Ultra Matte - https://suntekfilms.com/paintprotection/ultra-matte

Llumar Platinum Matte - https://llumar.com/na/en/automotive/...latinum-matte/

I've also tried the 3M products over the years, they didn't work out well and were eventually replaced with one of the ones above.

Owned 3 of them since 2011, 2 black magnos and currently have a platinum magno. You just take them through the regular carwash. i ask them to turn off any hot waxes and run it as a regular wash. That's all!

Same as any G. If you don't like rock chips, at a minimum the high impact areas. Front, lights, mirrors, and fender flares.

None, just factory finish. The matte clear coat on Magno paint is actually thicker and more durable and scratch resistant than regular paint clear coats. Really no extra care is needed. Just don’t add hot wax or wax it or polish it
