Anyone else get the jeep wave??
It’s been happening more and more because of the round headlights and the halos just like the new jeep wranglers… but I get the waves all the time now! Does anyone else get this? I generally don’t wave back and just think it’s funny since there’s a big star emblem in the front grille and I don’t think they look anything alike besides the round lights and halos!!
might also be because I’ve removed the front bullbar!

"Oh wow, you have what I perceive to be an expensive car, I'm going to wave at you and try to be ingratiating".
I've had folks 'wave' to me(neighbors) just to please themselves as when I try to have a conversation with them they get stuffy and awkward.

Too good? No, just too annoyed......why people 'wave' at others in 'expensive' cars is beyond me. Seems so superficial, shallow and obsequious.

You're getting so triggered at a simple wave or thumbs up.
Same goes for OP, " Oh no the poors are mistaking my expensive car for their commoner Jeeps and then have the audacity to wave at me".
Both of you giving G owners a bad rap.

Wow.... never seen someone's head so far up their own butt, make sure to take it out of there for oxygen every now and then.

I get waves from people that are just walking in the street who aren't even in cars. Some had their middle fingers up but I think they just didn't appreciate me alerting to them "get out of my way peasants!" so that they can be more careful around oncoming traffic. People are so ungrateful these days

Wave back!!!
Here in CA it is normal car culture... its showing respect that they like your ride, as people identify with their cars. People like to feel like they belong to something, so if it makes them feel good to acknowledge you, great! And if they mistake you for a Jeep just wave back and smile, costs you nothing. Now, I have not experienced this in the G specifically, just thumbs up or head turns now and then, but when I drive my 911, I get the waves and head nods from every type of Porsche driver and others too. Again it's just people wanting to acknowledge your nice ride. I used to think it was weird, but now I roll with it... try it, feels pretty good. Just enjoy that there is something that opens people up vs closing off and road raging. It is positive... we could all use a bit more community and kindness... maybe even wave first sometimes!
