2022 G63 AMG BASE MSRP: $231,900.00

So I got my spec sheet and it has “PRICE NOT ON FILE” on a few items so who the hell knows. Also my spec sheet lists $179,000 as base msrp. My dealer said it’s not confirmed as there has been no official release on it. There’s about 100 new G’s getting ready to be sent to the US. One of those is mine.
talked to my dealer yesterday and we both agree that values of 2021/2020 will increase due to the new replacement cost. Getting excited for a new G. Will keep everyone posted if I hear anything.

Again to allay all confusion, the MSRP for the 2022 G63 in the USA is $179,000 US Dollars and in Canada $231,900 Canadian Dollars. The US MSRP was confirmed to me by my dealer on my 2022 G63 with build date of 5/13/22.

Mercedes Benz Rockville Center lists the 2022 G550 base MSRP as $145,870 on their website, but I've seen no confirmation of that. The 2021s started at $131,750. That seems like an understandable and not completely unreasonable jump to me.

This threat is about G63 MSRP, not G550

Sorry, I forgot to quote it but I was replying to @Jfalshopping 's question one above my reply. Sorry for the confusion. It was too early and I hadn't finished my coffee yet

Our apologies - how dare we mention the ~lowly~ G550 in the depths of such a prestigious thread.
Both will see a significant increase to MSRP from what I am seeing, not that it isn’t justified (topic for another time). I would argue that the threat is to anyone who agreed to an ADM, have a truck built, and will likely now have to pay an additional ~$15k (G550 increase) on top of that.

Final Edition G?
Saw a mint G65 on Athens, GA showroom floor 2020 looking all lonely. Wife would have killed me if I brought Lolita home. Snuck home an AMG Wagon last year instead...still alive.

Some dealers are still asking for $100-$150k ADM and some are offering at MSRP (for now)
I was recently told by a GM that the reason that there is no handshake deal on ADMs right now for Gwagon's is because they don't know where the car market will be by the time the Gs arrive. This means that there is still a possibility of you being assessed an ADM by the time the car arrives to the dealer.
Wait times can be as long as 18-24 months. If the car market is slow in 18 months (due to higher interest rates and a recession looming) then they will most likely stick with an MSRP only regime.
I have feeling however that dealers are gaming the system. They want to show MB a very large order book for their Gwagon's in hopes that they get a larger number of allocations. Again this is just my hunch, I have no idea how these dealers operate.
But if my theory turns out to be accurate, then a wise dealership would tell as many would be Gwagon buyers that there is no ADM. Then that dealership has the largest order book of potential buyers with or without deposits.
Then comes the bait and switch

I told them it was unacceptable. Very short sighted of them to try to make a few bucks off me here and lose me forever. We will see what they do.

I have a G63 Edition 55 ordered with a build date of 06/28/22.
I just spoke with my salesman today and he did not have any information yet as to the MSRP.
Does anybody have any insights as to what the MSRP might be for this car?

Looks like base is 179k. Last year (2021)they did a G550 edition 550 that was an additional $20,580 on top of MSRP so I would say your minimum is going to start around 200k. Package will likely be more than the edition 550 because there are fewer Edition 55s being produced but that should give you a baseline.

My G63 boarded the vessel ‘Orion Highway’ June 3 and is set to arrive in Baltimore June 12. Anyone else have a G on that vessel? Sure hoping we don’t get held up in Brunswick for very long.

MYG arrive in Brunswick, Ga. on June 4th. I just sent my salesperson a text asking him what the order status code is. I also asked him if he'd heard anything about the VPC holding vehicles until July. I'll post his response after I get it.

My sales person told me the vessel would dock on 6/4 and he expected the G to be here by the 16th.
This is what my salesperson texted me today, after I asked him if he'd heard that VPC was holding vehicles until July:
"That is what my manager is thinking, as well. But, Mercedes is not sharing their intent with us yet."

Last tracking available (4 days ago) shows Orion Highway just South of Ireland. I imagine it's getting close to the US by now. My business partner's RSQ8 sat offshore for almost a week waiting for a spot in the port, so hopefully you won't run into that kind of delay as well. Did you end up getting your final price on this?
