Starting the buyback process now. Hopefully they will make me whole again in terms of compensating for all of the expenses for accessories that was put into the truck. Anyone else that went through the buyback process for their 4x4 squared have issues with getting fully compensated? Was it a struggle to negotiate or did you just have to send in receipts?
Thanks

Hopefully they will be accommodating with the extra expenses since I spent about $65K for various accessories from custom wheels, ppf, power side steps, etc. I'll keep everyone posted on what happens

I wonder what Mercedes will do after buying back 600 + of square models? Change them back to Regular G63 and dump them back in Used market in US or other markets ??

The dealer told me today they that Mercedes will reach out to each owner to discuss options but that we would be able to keep the truck. He was not very specific, but it is encouraging sounds they have a fix. I am anxious to hear something firm on options and timeframe. Ready to rack some miles up.

If my guy is right and they repair them a guy can probably pickup a 23. I'm with you I want the car. Seems a lot of people have been selling back. Good luck.

I have a dealer claiming they will have a fix installed in two weeks on one and another fixed in 6 weeks. Anyone else hear anything on a fix?

Dealer i bought from said they would be fixed when we talked last week but zero details on time frame . He said the factory would be reaching out to owners. I am hoping your guy is right . Anxious to get this behind me .

They will be all eventually released into the market for which they were manufactured once fixed. Either through the dealers if still unsold or on the auction block if they were buy backs. Even right now with the Stop Sale and Do Not Drive in effect there are 83 of them listed with many brand new 2022s and 2023s available on the market. If you are looking for one you can make a deal below MSRP on many of them and make a deposit and sign the contract with deferred full

As of now they will not deliver anymore cars even though they have been produced. A repair is going to take 12-24 months. For US customers Mercedes is going to be giving a loaner Maybach SUV or buying back the vehicle.

Did this come from a dealer or Mecedes Corporate? So far the local dealers seems to know very little. Thanks

This is painful. I got my VIN and it seemed like if it was produced we'd be getting them. Thus, I confirm my order for the electric running boards (not cheap); which ironically arrived Friday. Now, it seems I don't have a car and have $10k+ of running boards for a car that sort of doesn't exist. Heavy Sigh
