Coolant low 2021 G63?

Hey guys. Just got a check coolant message. It says it’s low on the app. It’s only got 12,000 kms and was new when I bought it.

I also have a tire pressure warning that randomly came on weeks ago saying I have more pressure than normal..

Any thoughts? I’m currently driving and been staring at the coolant temp as it’s making me paranoid lol.

Okay, turned car off after driving for a little. Checked the reservoir and it seems under the “min” line just slightly. However, turned the car back on now and the coolant is showing as “ok” on the app… was showing as low on cold start.

I have service due in 27 days, would I be okay or should I top it off slightly when engine cools. If so, anyone recommendations for coolant? Not sure what these trucks take.

My understanding is that coolant should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" line marks when the engine is cold. Zerex G40 antifreeze has the correct MB approvals and is available for ~$20/gal at most auto stores. It's already diluted and can be added wthout mixing with water.

Thanks man. I’ll check the level tomorrow morning just to make sure.

Can’t find the Zerex g40 in any Canadian stores…

Check https://operatingfluids.mercedes-ben...sheet/325.6/en for a list of approved brands. I'm pretty sure anti-freeze is sold in Canada (lol).

Lol definitely antifreeze in Canada. The problem is, I don't know what mixture/colour to get. None of the ones on that list are in Canada.

The ones we have are something like this. The problem is, I don't know if it's okay mixing this with the coolant already in the car.

Realized I had coolant from when my Lamborghini needed it. Decided to add a bit of that. Seems to be okay as I don't get the warning anymore.

For those curious, I added the below. It says VW, Audi, Porsche, and "high-end" Euro. So hopefully it should be okay.

OEM Euro I and Prestone European Violet are labeled as MB compatible, but neither carries an official "MB Approved" certification.
Interesting that any brand vehicle can burn any brand petrol, but antifreeze is brand specific.

Yes, this happens to me every time I take the Nürburgring shortcut to the office on Wednesdays (lol). IMO, som ting wong. I hate the no dip stick "feature" of modern automobiles (this is what happens when software nerds become bored).
Losing antifreeze and oil under ordinary driving conditions is not normal. I'd move up my service appointment, IIWY.

Lmao.

Thanks man. You’ve been super helpful and I really appreciate it.

I really hope there’s nothing wrong as I was considering selling the truck soon…

Just for my knowledge and so I make sure I don’t get ripped off, if there is a leak of some sort or other damage, would stuff like this be covered under warranty?

Thanks for info. I found Zerex G40 on walmart.com and napaonline.com

Most likely the engine just burned that much oil in the 12K km you drove it. These are hand built engines, and I believe a slight bit of oil consumption can be considered normal.
