2022 G63 Allocation Available
My SA just texted me that he may have a 2022 G63 allocation available...Unfortunately, there's a premium, and it's $50-60k (I think he'll do $50k). Yes, it's a lot. Yes, I know the market is softening. But I thought I'd share this here in case someone really wants to be able to order their own spec. Please do not attack me for mentioning ADM (I personally wouldn't pay $50k, but that's my opinion). You're welcome to PM me.

Yeah, it's an interesting market right now. Dealers are yet listing really high ADMs, but financing rates seem to be moderating demand, and there's on-lot inventory. Maybe prices will settle to where they were 3 years ago with G63s commanding ~$25K over MSRP. The free (1%) money era is over.

I had dealers call me to buy mine. They offered about 235-250k, paid 190k for mine.

Yes, indeed. Right now for an on-lot G63, I think +$50K is incentivized pricing, and I would have agreed to it, had a G63 been in my sights. But I'm entirely satisfied with my G550 for now.

I'll throw my flame suit on for this comment and batten down the hatches, but I genuinely believe the 550 is the better truck to live with. Having driven both extensively, I think it is a much better on-road feel. The price of entry doesn't hurt either.

I'll join you in asbestos garb for a moment and agree with you. I considered a G63, but I didn't care for the bull-bar (yeah, I could have yanked it), the way the exhaust pipes compromised the ground clearance, and (as I recall) the wheel choice being only 21" or 22" (I wanted 20"s). The '19 G550 has been a blast to drive (even with only 416 hp), and I haven't been plagued with squeaky and fast wearing brakes that the G63'ers complain about. There's nothing about the G550 that would make me trade-up, trade-even or trade-other in '23. But I thought I was nuts when I paid +$5K over MSRP for it.

I'd like to call for a ban of @CincyMBGuy and @streborx on the basis of blasphemy against the G Wagon church!!!!

I actually just moved from a '21 G550 to a '22 G63 (both ordered by me at MSRP) and am thrilled with the "upgrade." The G63 just feels more robust and sporty. The G550 was more than enough in the power department but the G63 is just more of everything and just more fun. So happy I changed it out. Just my 2 cents.

I have made some inquiries over the past two weeks. I have been offered a stock 2022 G63 from 15-30k over sticker on several fine builds. Appears that the amount of folks willing to pay large markups are dwindling from what i can tell. Also assuming most of these were ordered units it appears that buyers are not standing for the additional markups from when they placed the order with these dealers or various other reasons for not completing the transaction.
