Sorry if there is another thread for this but I could't find one.

I have a '16 G 63 that has a stereo that working fine BUT for the audio. No sound is coming out of the speakers. It stopped working for a few days then it came back on for about an hour then stopped again for another day then back on for a few minutes.
I desperately do not want to replace the head unit as it is $4K+.

Has anyone heard any similar situation on a G or other Mercs of that year.

 

did you ever figure this out? I’m going through the same thing.

 

I have 2017 G63 and the same issue. I checked all fuses, but it didn't help. The sound came back for a day and then gone.

 

I am now experiencing the same thing in my G63. Sound cutout for about 2 hours then came back on for a day, then heard a "pop" sound and now no sound. Did either of you ever find the fix? Head unit $4k ???

 

Sounds like a possible amp issue. Especially if the head unit is powering up and can go through the menus and also show volume adjustments and such.

 

I have same problem today. No sound but all controls work. Have you found the problem and resolution?
I see many people with this problem but none reporting solution.
