Battery Charger/Conditioner

I have a CTEK MX 5.0 charger that I used for a previous vehicle. Can anybody confirm that this is compatible with my new G63 (22MY)? I cannot seem to find the Mercedes branded charger on the accessory site. Thanks.

Should be fine. I believe the battery is AGM. I also think the Mercedes brand is CTEK.

Use the metal clip under the red plastic cover and the gold colored bolt on the passenger side of the engine bay to charge.

Any Ctek charger would work, as long as they are not Lithium-ion only charger.

I ordered a ctek 40-206-mks 5.0 4.3A charger for my 2019 G63 (have one for my 21 Black Series which came with the car). I hooked it up perfectly and it began to heat up immensely. Has anyone else had this issue?

Thanks

They do tend to heat up. I’m not sure what is too hot.
