New G63 orders?

New G63 orders?
What’s the latest? Are ADMs still around and waits still in the years?
Have started hearing about friends getting calls from dealers they called a while back with “special opportunities” to “get an order now” at “20k over.”
Similar thing happening in 992 TTS land, so curious what’s the current situation in our world.

Production is still low on the G's. I haven't heard of sticker on one yet but I'm sure someone will chime in about how their cousin's neighbors brother-in-law purchased one at invoice.
I think people seem to forget that even back to 2019 when the redesigned G-Series was introduced there were long waits then and it required a good relationship (for most) with your dealer to acquire one at MSRP.

As many have mentioned in this forum, if others refuse to pay dealers adjusted markups, they wouldn't exist. As for the market, looking at the current used market is helpful in seeing what the trend is at least doing. For those that don't agree or think so, why are they watching Manheim and other vehicle sales results from various sources on a weekly basis? They get educated, and thus shall we. Timing is everything and if you need one or want one at the moment, you'll have to pay what others are paying. Otherwise, if they are trending upward you may want to grab one before they rise... However, the trend is and has been going downward. If this is something you can wait for, you may want to sit tight, but again it's a personal choice for you to make. This clip has some good points and decent info if you haven't been watching all of this play out for the last couple of years.

The stores that do sell at MSRP still have quite a backlog as G wagen allocations are less than in prior years.

MB is also eating into the ADM with the MSRP bumps each year. Will be interested to see what the yet again unchanged '23 MSRP will be.

With that $~23k bump for the 2022 MY @abhatti55 I couldn't agree more with you. IMHO MSRP is more than fair with the pricing correction and i do say correction as the 550 MSRP didn't budge anywhere near the 63 bump.

For those who can afford it or simply bought to enjoy then no worries, but the people that used this car as speculation will deservedly get hurt.

The market is for sure shifting on the G and most other expensive cars, I have an order and I will go back to the dealer and tell them that I wont pay the ADM, they can keep the car if they decide not to delete it, at full MSRP each dealer is making at least 15% profit for themselves without counting on extra warranties, etc etc.
They just trying to milk the cow as long as they can but it all starts with us the consumers,

By next spring or summer at the latest there is going to be an abundance of inventory of G's on the market with some nice discounts, lets be patience. This is a deprecating asset.

I did, but dealer exists because of us the consumer its not the other way around, Specially for these higher priced vehicles.
They cant force you to complete the purchase, just because you said yes to an ADM when the market and the economy is in a steep decline if they are smart they will take the full MSRP and not be stuck with too much inventory they cant move.

they have enjoyed the ADM's far too long if you ask me, we should put a law like in Canada, all and I mean all new cars must be sold at MSRP without one cent of markup, but no we have all the greedy dealers here is America just worrying about their pockets.
You cant buy a nice Shelby Mustang, Dodge Demon, Porsche GT3, GT3 RS, GT2 RS, even a Civic type R, name the car, all dealers do its do a mark up on what they think is a semi-exclusive or exclusive car, for what, for their own pockets and never thinking one second about the consumer.

Read that again.
You are confusing the above with Saturn's no-haggle pricing.
I'm also curious whether you are a business owner.
Or, forget that, have you ever purchased something from a private seller and thought to yourself: self, I am paying less than what I should for this widget and it is only right for me to pay more.
As I understand it, your argument is: neither party shall have an upper hand in a transaction regardless of circumstances.
Is that correct?

To be honest, I like ADMs if I’m not paying them because it keeps residual values higher. If people are paying $20-50k over sticker then mine is likely to be worth sticker longer.
Taking delivery of a 2022 tomorrow for $1000 over MSRP exactly a week after I found out about it—I was next in line and buyer backed out. This isn’t an indication of market forces just have a great dealer nearby.

My dealer has one G63 and 3 G550's priced at ~$300K and ~$220K to ~$260K, respectively, so ADMs seem to be alive and well. I get emails every week from this dealer offering me MSRP less ~$25K for my '19 G550, with an opportunity to upgrade to a '22 for ~$35K plus my trade (based on '22's MSRP). No mention of an ADM, but I'm sure there's one if I asked.

Yup it’s a protection package, so not a true ADM as I get something but obviously marked up.
Kinda glad I don’t have to arrange tinting but it’s double what it should be, but at least they do ceramic tint.

Having said that, it's not the dealers responsibility to think about the consumer. Especially at this level. I'm sure consumers never think about the dealer when they buy a car that the dealer sells at a loss or for zero profit. Cars are sold for a mutually agreed upon price.
