I ordered a '23 G63 in Magno Black. I went by the 2023 order guide since I ordered when MB was having all kinds of issues with it's Netstar system and 23s werent in the system anyway. Since I had to use the order guide, it was a pain and I submitted the codes specifically that I wanted, but I somehow missed the night package. It got even more confusing because the dealer sent me back an "official" order sheet from a 2022 which I signed but again, missed that the night package wasn't on it because it appears to be a zero cost option anyway. My dealer says the car is built and can't change it. And has no idea if or when he'll get another allocation anytime soon.

So while I wait for it to come in, I began pricing out the items I'd need to replicate the night package, things like the MB star in front and grille are not that big of a deal, nor is the badging in black (I plan on having it wrapped and the place ends up ordering new MB badges anyway). The biggest issue with my mistake is that I believe the truck is going to come in with a silver push bar - which looks terrible IMHO. Is it that hard to remove and have painted? And what else other than the push bar am I losing out on by not having it? The headlights and tailights look different on the configurator when you select night package but there's no mention of it on the night package feature list.

PS - if anyone wants to swap out their black G63 push bar for a silver one (once it gets here), let me know LOL.

 

There are a lot of options on the internet as well for black push bars, but you should be able to paint it black with latex metal paint or automotive enamel paint

 

The bull bar is super easy to remove. You should be able to get it painted for relatively little cost.

 

Wow, this great info. Easy to remove thankfully. And looks like it comes off anyway for PPF so my labor won't increase if I do get it painted.

I'd look into getting it powder coated gloss black.

I prefer night package too but bought a 2022 that I did not spec that was black, so night package was not an option. The silver bull bar has grown on me, and I like that it's a matte finish. I don't care for the stainless steel spare ring though, so I had it wrapped with black vinyl for $150. I'm getting night package again on my next build.

Here's a list of the changes for the night package:
-black bull bar
-black front skid plate
-darkened headlights and turn signals
-black spare tire ring
-black rear bumper inserts

To be honest the only things worth changing are the bull bar and the spare tire ring. Maybe the black rear bumper inserts but they don't look to be easy to remove--maybe just get a black cover to affix on it. Lights are price prohibitive to fix.

 

@Hodog16 easy to pry open ..both the front and rear bumper inserts..just come from the top and then the sides..you can either paint /wrap or get them on ebay for a much lower price..
