2021 G550 Lane Assist

Hello All,

New to site, just purchased my first G wagon. So far I am very pleased with it. However the lane assist is a bit harsh, if you go over the line it will practically stop the car in its tracks. I am now always turning off when I get started, is there a way to keep always off?

Thanks Allan

Search the forum for LKA as there are quite a few hacks folks have done and shared to turn it off permanently. Everything from wiring/fuse changes to duct tape over the sensor. Personally I just turn it off every time I start the engine. Muscle memory kicks in and I don’t realize I’m doing it half the time…

Congrats on your new ride!

Congrats on the new G. Yes I just get used to it as well--turn engine on and immediately turn auto start-stop off and LKAS. There are various methods to fix it but I'm too lazy to investigate.

Had ECO Start/Stop and Lane Assist disabled. Contact Peter @

Love not having to deal with either of the features.
