G63 Active Park Assist how to?

Got a quick question. I was a bit bored today so found myself leafing through my G63's owners manual. During this I came across the part about the Active Park Assist. Am I missing something, or do our cars have a feature to park itself, albeit with a driver at the helm to operate the throttle and brake? It describes a situation where you drive down a row of cars, for either parallel or perpendicular parking, at which point you activate the system. Then when it finds a suitable spot, it will let you know and then you basically let the car do the parking.
Can our G's actually do this, or is this some odd carry-over from another manual?
Thanks guys.
I never need to parallel park, so I don’t use it but if the opportunity came up I guess I’d give it a try.

Most times I will come up on a spot and try using it and it doesn’t recognize the stall.
