Just picked up a new 2022 G550 previous person who ordered it backed out so dealer contacted me. Unfortunately for me it didn't have the night package. So I have some questions wondering if anyone could help.

How do I remove the front grille that has the MB emblem on the newer 2019+ G? Does it require bumper removal or is it the same as previous year models? No luck looking through search engines or youtube- they are all for previous models. Also, If anyone has a night pkg grille for sale please let me know, my G is black.

 

I blive its the same as the old model.

 

I replaced the grille on the prev 4x4 and didn't have to take the bumper off, the most annoying thing was unplugging the headlight washer hose.

 

Do you guys know if the G63 grille is a plug and play swap over for the regular G Class, 2020 year? Just in the processing of purchasing one and love the AMG grille so wanted to swap over, not sure if its wider, has different fixing points etc.

It’s not plug and play from my understanding at least for OEM parts. The G63 grille piece flares out somewhat as you go down whereas the G550 is straight. Now if you bought headlight surrounds too maybe it’s plug and play but you’ll need to change more than just the center part.
