Crazy?

So after spending 180+ I expected the interior would have been much quieter! Am I nuts for sound deadening the interior? Its not done yet I have another sound barrier layer to go!

what do you think?

Not crazy. Have a '22 and no improvement in the squeak and rattles department, especially door speakers.

My only real gripe with the G is the speaker rattle. Blows my mind that we have this premium audio system, but the doors vibrate worse than the $1k car I had when I was 16! Honestly I don’t mind the wind noise but do wish they would fix door issue…

The sound system does leave a lot to be desired at this price point for sure. The ECO/cylinder deactivation seems to have gotten more aggressive as the years progress also. My only 2 gripes.

Door speakers - replace the clips that hold them in. Add some felt between the speaker cover and door trim.

Mine has zero squeaks and rattles. 50,000 km and 3.5 years. Only the passenger door speaker grill, which I just had fixed by the dealer, as described.

This place is a joke.
So after spending $489,000 my 1800 horsepower Cigarette racing boat was loud too. I could never understand that.

Should have gone underwater exhaust. Almost makes them sound like an electric boat in my opinion. Nothing like straight pipes coming off a 900HP motor sitting right behind you to make you go deaf. Sure sounds good though!

If I could figure out how to compress the file I would post it up. File size is too large apparently.

I'd be curious to get feedback on the sound deadening effectiveness.

Alright, I admit it. I continually come across your posts and often ask myself, "Why engage?" But you seem to have an inexhaustible supply of negativity, always ready to spread it around.

When you comment, "You used the wrong stuff," it feels quite dismissive. Why not contribute more constructively? If you have knowledge to share, why not enrich the conversation with it? Let's move beyond the kind of behavior that mirrors a kindergarten child who sticks out his tongue at strangers, utters something nonsensical, and then runs away.

You can certainly do better, especially considering your status as a business owner and a sponsor of this board.

I've done this before with a past car and didn't notice much improvement. However, it helped with vibrations. It's also not light, but since you have the head-liner off, it's the best time to do it.

yea I went from a 2019 gt63 to a 2022 g63 and the burmeister is just not as good in the g class. The small dash speakers seem to get overwhelmed easily.

Once again, you're proving just how insufferable you can be. Is your disagreeable behavior a byproduct of loneliness? Or is it perhaps a reflection of your inability to communicate thoughtfully? It's truly baffling that your business is still open. When you encounter coding errors, do you react by pounding on your keyboard like a toddler throwing a tantrum? Because with your clear deficiency in problem-solving skills, I can't imagine a different scenario.

I've observed a few people defending you on this forum, but considering your blatant lack of interpersonal skills, their reasons completely escape me.Initially, I contemplated utilizing your services. However, after witnessing your interactions here, it didn't take much convincing for me to seek alternatives. The thought of a personal interaction, whether in person or via Zoom, is as bothersome to me as finding something slimy on my shoe. I can only imagine the ordeal if I were to encounter an issue or need assistance in deciding between features. In my view, and I suspect this is shared by many G-Wagon owners on this forum, even if you offered your services at no charge, or better yet, offered to pay me for them, my response would be a firm "no."

Perfect solution for front subs

So i installed these inside my front door right behind the sub speaker! The horrible vibration stopped when the base was up!

Second Skin Speaker Tweaker Kit Anechoic Pads Sound Deadener (Set of 2) https://a.co/d/dd6p6Hm

note i did cover the inside door with 2nd skin sound deff but when i just had the skin without the pads still was vibrating alot! The pads work! Especially when the subwoofer speaker calls into the door not the vehicle soundwise
