Last week I was at my dealers looking at specs for a build. The sales folks weren’t much help so I have 2 questions for the forum:

Trail Package: Looks like mud flaps, custom molded foot well protectors, different tires and program in the drive system for “off road?”

Performance package: Looks like raising the speed limiter from 137 to 149 and a carbon fiber engine cover?

Anybody have more in depth info for these multi-thousand dollar options?

i had trail package in my other G63… loved it but never liked the rims.

I have performance package on my current G63… the engine cover in carbon is cool but its a very small part and overpriced.

 

I’d pass on both. Unless you actually plan on taking the truck off-road then get the trail package. Not a fan of the look of the mud flaps and trail package wheels but that’s personal preference.

 

the ride on a trail pack is much better (a bit softer) than a normal G...I prefer it

 

who wants a soft ride in a G63!!! thats what a 550 is for… bring on the rough ride
