Values are really strong here in the UK, new ones hard to get and used ones almost list or above. I just bought a 2020 G350d, done 40k miles, with premium pack and the leather package that adds the diamond stitch upgrade leather etc. but not much else in the way of options, and it was £110k GBP. A 2018 G63 with similar mileage here is still £140k. Finance rates are really high too so buying one of these is expensive, but the inability to get a new one is probably keeping the values high in the UK.

nothing more than interest rates and all cars are plummeting... prices will revert back in time.... softening prices with lambos, fcars etc... even the wrangler which is typically fairly sticky is seeing big price drops..: it has nothing to do with the G.
i sold my 720s 10 months ago for 255 and now its worth probably 235

It is not normal for used cars to go up in price. A 4 year old car should not be worth more than 60% MSRP unless it is highly collectible. Cars are supposed to depreciate. The post Covid insanity is finally ending and the prices are starting to follow normality again.

Agree. Look at the 2011 and 2012 G price trend from 2012 until 2020. That is what normal looks like.

My local dealer told me they are still charging 30K over MSPR for G63 orders and 20K over for G550 orders.
However they have one G550 in stock that they are selling for MSRP because it's been sitting and they told me if they have G63s sitting they will be selling at MSRP as well.

I think the ADM’s are rapidly disappearing. My dealer has been adamant in the past that they won’t sell a G63 without an ADM even though I have bought many cars from them over the years. They seem to be backing off that now.

There is definitely an apparent plummet in values. 1-2 year old G's are not even getting close to MSRP in auctions these days. Here's a couple recent examples where the bids ended about $20K south of MSRP:

these are g550, which have always been oversaturated and less in demand.
auction vechicles also often have crash history’s.

Didn’t buy the G as an investment and have not added my cars as an asset. Even if it goes down I still enjoy the car and I plan to drive it until the wheels fall off. I’m glad dealer markups are coming down.

What can be said with certainty is that there is an accumulation of on-lot G-Class inventory right now. My dealer (Denver area) has 5 G550s and 1 G63 on-lot, priced with ADMs that I'm guessing are about +$30K and +$60K. When I ordered my G550 4 years ago, the ADM was only +$5K, and this dealer (and just about every dealer in the SW region) had no on-lot inventory. The model year is already 3/4 gone -- '24s will be available for ordering in 4Q23. I think some of these G550s will soon go out the door at MSRP.

Hello, new member here from SE Pennsylvania. I purchased my 2023 G550 on June 30th for MSRP, no ADM. It was on the lot for a week. This dealer also has another unspoken for G550 being delivered at the end of July which they offered me MSRP if I preferred the options on that one. I would not have purchased a G if they were charging ADM. The ADMs are receding, but the market is very stout for these SUVs. I shopped new and used for a while, and supply is relatively limited. Many of the Gs listed online were already sold and the listing was not taken down. The used ones available had negative history, and the new ones available had undesirable color combinations or options. In all cases, the dealers were unwilling to negotiate.

That said, the G63 also always had a bigger margin (along with higher % ADMs) compared to the G550.
