Just noticed that the GLS currently appears to have the same steering wheel as the G63, but the airbag cover is a lot nicer than the plastic standard... anyone have any idea if this would fit or done this swap?

 

There was another user here who did a custom alcantara cover and it looked great. This would also be amazing. I wonder if its as simple as ordering the part from a GLS and having it swapped?

depends on which airbag you have, there are 2 different styles.
if you can pop your airbag out and send a pic of the back I may have what you want ready to ship

 

Problem is if you have non black stitching then this steering wheel will not go well with the rest of the interior.

I think the gle is a different airbag.

you can buy custom airbag covers, with custom stitching online. I bought one from here for example:
