2025 MY? Anyone heard anything on on the facelift / updated G
Bunch of spy shots showing minimal updates. Front bumper changed, rear camera moved to bumper from rear door and presumably updated mbux so its all but evident that its coming and most likely for a 2025 MY. Not sure when they plan to formally announce the release of this and the new electric G. Has anyone heard anything more specific on availability?

Pretty sure you just hit the nail on the head
Minimal exterior updates, interior refreshed to reflect same design as current gen S-class (steering wheel, seat adjustment buttons on door, climate control buttons, center console buttons and touchpad, etc), MBUX, V8 gone from G550, and EQG coming
Something outside of that would be a surprise to me for next year
funny timing..I was doing some research myself this morning on this very topic, as to how much these spy shots differ or give away from the eventual reveal..
this is how the spy shots for the 4x4 looked like prior (roughly 6 months) to launch. besides the grill, pretty much the camouflaged bits (exterior) and the new parts that are on the vehicle are the changes. I guess the same logic could hold with the base G63
I figured with the final edition G550 that it would lose the V8 moving forward. Very surprising. It’ll be interesting to see how it affects the demand for G63 and for 2019-2024 G550s.

I'm most curious about what V8 the 2025 G63 will have... 4.0 V8 same as current gen, or mild hybrid like other latest AMGs, or plug-in hybrid? Etc..
I'm guessing the G63 will get the mild hybrid like the 63+ in the E/CLS/etc. Would they really put a V6 in a G550?
IMO I'd be happy with a V6 for G550 if the 4 cylinder C63 is any indication of where things are headed... for the current mild hybrid system, are those plug-in? I'd be very annoyed personally if now not only did I have to worry about filling with gas on a thirsty engine, but now also have to worry about setting up charging at home as well..

G63 moving to mild hybrid naming: G63 E Performance.
Not confirmed (yet) but G550 most likely V6 mild hybrid.
also expect dated MBUX from the current GLB and no more cover for the rear camera so it will be always dirty when you need it, MB figured out they can make a lot more money if you bang up the $3000 wheel cover every time you back up!
Frankly, it makes me happy to see that at least this Forum has "real talk" = and admits "we don't know" - here ceretainly beats the heck out of the Fantasy Dream World almost all other forum's are pitching to themselves
