2021 G63 Check Engine Light

This sort of thing isnt all that uncommon, and thats for any car, not just MB, and not just G63. Sensors break, or have issues, or settings, or need to be recalibrated.
But so you know, asking if we've experienced a control module replacement and how long it should take is equivalent to asking your family how long surgery would take your doctor mentioned. "surgery for what?"..... " you know SURGERY! so I can get healed" .... "well we didnt even know you were sick, or what your symptoms are, or what the issue is, what is being operated on?" LOL Kinda need more to offer any information.

But with that said, random check engine lights aren't uncommon for any car, and usually aren't something that should cause a big concern as long as its not something where the car is put into limp mode, or car wont start etc. It's likely something minor like a sensor needing to be replaced, or calibrated. And 7-10 days isn't out of the norm especially if its an uncommon sensor and they need to order it or its on back order etc.
Now if it's a CEL and dumping blue smoke out of the back, and wont go above 3000 RPM, may have a bigger issue on your hands. But the fact that it's 100% drivable would usually indicate it's a minor sensor, or minor item having to do with the ECU data etc.

QUOTE=EJKaufman;8921207]Brought in my truck to the dealer as the check engine light was staying on despite the truck driving normal. This was on Tuesday morning of this week. Didn't really hear anything for 3 days so I contacted the dealer to see what the issue is and today they told me that they had to order a control module to fix the check engine light. They said it needs to be replaced. Has anyone had any experience with this? Apparently I won't have my truck back for a week to a week and a half in total, since I dropped it off on 2/6. The earliest the part should be at the dealer's is 2/13 or 2/14 and I don't know how long it takes to replace once the part arrives. Annoying![/QUOTE]

Hopefully whatever the issue is this time doesn't take as long to fix!!!! Truck is still under the 4 year/50k mile manufacturer warranty.
