Anyone else notice they didn't update the shift or turn signal stalk to the new generation? I dunno folks, I had a '22 and now a '24 G63 and honestly, short of MBUX and the electric motor assist, I think the changes are a little too mild for all the hype. I don't think the market won't put the same premium on these the way they did when the 2019s were introduced. And I think the pre-2025's will hold their value better than expected.

This was all part of the announcement so no one should be surprised and of course the pre-25's will do fine for resale...its essentially the same car.

I agree with both of your observations. The biggest changes seem to be the addition of MBUX and the little electric motor. Otherwise, it's the same car as the '24. To each his own, but I'm not a fan of the louver-looking air intakes on the front bumper. I'm definitely keeping my '24. I'm just tracking the '25 because my wife wants one.

Good points. The active ride control does sound interesting indeed. As for the performance package that increases the max speed, I think I'm fine with the '24's limited 137 mph. I honestly don't believe I'm brave enough to ever try to hit 137 mph in a G class... Once I get my wife the '25, I will report any noticeable differences between the two.

That's weird. My dealer told me the '24 doesn't come in the performance package with the speed limit eliminator. Perhaps it was because mine was built really late in the cycle (March of 2024)? Regardless, 137 mph is more than enough for me. Have fun with your '25.

I just looked at the window sticker and you’re correct, it doesn’t show it on my 2024. I know I definitely had it on my 2021 and paid $2200 for it and never used/ needed it.

On my build it is $4400 for the performance package and it does show the wheels in techgold in the package, however there is another line item for the wheels at $5350 for the RP5 wheels. By default the Performance package does come with the techgold wheels but they are charged full price. SO it does make sense if you chose black or other wheels that the price added on your buillds is appropriate. Considering the top speed limiter which was available as a pre 25 option and then the components for the suspension and the darkened elements I belies the $4400 price range is appropriate for that bunlde minus the wheel cost.

I am trading in my ‘24 and ordering a ‘25. The new active ride control is very appealing. This will be my 4th G Wagen. I put a lot of highway miles on the car and I know it will be a better ride.

I'm doing the same move. I really wish we'd see more reviews on this addition. In general I haven't seen a ton of great comparisons other than the earlier marketing reviews.

My dealer confirmed that my 2025 G63 production is complete, and will see the car before Oct end giving enough time for shipping from Graz -> port -> east coast. But the car price is not out. Not sure how that is going to work...

Congrats. Mine has been production complete for a week+ but still not traveling

Keep watch on the ILA port workers strike that could commence next week. A strike will shut down all the ports along the east and gulf coasts. Don't mean to add to your anxiety -- hope you're not affected.

The boat Arc Defender is scheduled to leave germany on 11th oct to reach baltimore on 29th oct. Lets hope the port strike is resolved before it begins. Last year's car came in Arc Defender.

Where are you finding the boat info btw? I just placed an order for one that has already been built and should hopefully be loaded on a boat soon.

the only way to get the ship info is from your dealership/SA.

here are the details.. i tracked my 2024 G63 with success.. someone posted this in another thread.
Hello, fellow members. Last September 22, I bought a new E53 AMG Sedan. It was given to me a PO number, and I was told that the car would be made January 2021 with delivery on February 2021.
On the end of January, my dealer informed me that the car was built and a VIN was given to me. Further, I was informed that the car was waiting for a ship, but no information as to what Port the car was, or what ship.
After some investigation, I was able to know this:
A - 1) The Company that transport MB cars from Germany to US is Wallenius Wilhelmsen.
2) the Port in Germany is Bremerhaven Port. MB uses the Nordhafen Port, which is a smaller Port inside of Bremerhaven Port.
3) Tracking the voyage of the car from Bremerhaven to Baltimore in my case, or any other US Port, is as follows:
a) You do not need the VIN of the car.
b) You do need the PO number.
c) You do not need your dealer to tell you in what ship the car will come to the US and when. The dealer knows as much as you do at this stage. The dealer simply does not know.
How do we do it?
1) go to the webpage of Wallenius Whilhelmsen (Google it...)
2) on the right upper corner of the page, you will find "Menu".
3) Click on it and choose "Track & Trace".
4) On the next page, on "Cargo Info" on the left, and in the small rectangular window, where it says "BOL NUMBER", click on its small arrow. and choose "CUS REF NUMBER".
5) On the next small rectangle, on the right of the first one, right the PO number given to you by the dealer at the time that you ordered the car.
If your car was loaded in the ship, you will get a new page with all the information that you need, including the schedule of the trip, the Port of departure, the Port of Arrival, the time of Departure and of Arrival and the ship's name.
If you try the above and you get a message saying "No Record Found": This means that the car is not as yet, loaded into a ship.
This also means that you have to try everyday till you get it!
B - 1) You may have a pretty good idea of what is the ship in which your car might get loaded in. How?
2) Go again to the webpage of WalleniusWilhelmsen.
3) On its webpage, go again to "Menu", and click on it.
4) On the new page, click on "Schedules", just above "Track & trace".
5) on the new page, choose the Port of Departure (Baltimore in my case) and the Port of Arrival (Bremerhaven, or, simply Germany).
Below you will find "Find Schedule". Click on it and then in PDF if you want to print it, or "download" it.
6) Now you can see all the ships that transports MB cars, and their schedule to Bremerhaven , and you can calculate which probably will get your car based on the fact that the beauty is waiting at the Port waiting for a ship.
C -The fun does not stop here!
1) Now google "ship tracking". Youi will get quite a few applications doing that for free. I used "www.myshiptracking.com".
2) at the upper portion of the myshiptracking, click on "Vessels".
3) Input the name of the vessel that is at or on its way to Bremerhaven.
4) Once the ship is shown (usually there is a picture) click on 3 dots on the right end side of the page corresponding with the line of the ship.
Choose "Show on the Live Map".
4) Voilá, the ship is shown on the world map, and, if the ship is at Bremerhaven you will see it moored.
5) Once you know that the car is loaded, you can follow the ship voyage till the US. Every few seconds or minutes satellite informs of ship's position, its speed, direction, etc.
How about my car, you may ask. Well, at this moment is arriving at Southampton, UK. Then, Baltimore! I can't way!
P. S. : Please let me know any questions that you may have. If I know the answer, I will be happy to clarify.
