I was able to get mine at MSRP but all the dealers in Atlanta charge between 20-30k ADM for an allocation. The few built G63’s arriving on the lots are marked up 40-45k on average, which I find borderline insulting to potential buyers.

Normally I’d recommend ppf for magno but for me I’m just not going to drive on the highway. Ridiculous I know but I either take my other car to work or take more time and go local.
I’ve never PPF’d a Magno paint. Any recommendations? I am going to daily mine and it will have to go on the highway. I’m more concerned about the windshield TBH but I want to make sure the car is at minimum ceramic coated.

I would check with the best PPF person in your area. It will also need to be ceramic coated. PPF doesn’t last forever and I’d be concerned about removing it and damaging the finish. I had full PPF on my GT3, but not on a matte finish. My new G with Magno has 3 coats of ceramic applied. I had to replace a windshield on my 21 G 63. The windshield is very fragile. A very small rock chipped my windshield on the highway and within a couple miles, it cracked the windshield.

I did Expel full PPF and then ceramic coated over the PPF. Also did the windshield.

9,500 highway miles later, the only damage is to my drivers side front blinker. Blinkers stick up and PPF isn’t applied to the blinkers. A rock cracked the housing.

I have taken multiple rock hits to the windshield and the paint. I can see nicks on the PPF and marring on the windshield but no damage to the paint or windshield.

If I had known I was going to flip the vehicle in a year, I probably would have done PPF to just the front and ceramic coated the whole vehicle.

i won’t be getting my money back out of the $10k spent but the vehicle looks the same as the day I drove it over to Expel to get PPF applied.

Thanks for the response. So, you PPF'd the windshield? Ive never even heard of that. My concern with magno paint os removing the PPF down the road an the residue it can leave behind. Our paint isnt smooth like gloss so I dont know how they would clean it up.

Anyone that already picked up their vehicle look at the mounting of the front facing camera?

I was hoping to remove the bull bar but with the camera integrated into the bar, I am not sure if its possible now.

The camera is integrated into the bumper on the Euro spec vechiles. It looks like there might be a trim insert that may have to be swapped to add the camera to the bumper.

I don’t see how it could be done and I’m not interested in removing it. I’d rather not have it, but I’m not removing it. The G 580 doesn’t have one.

Has anyone driven the 2025 long enough through different scenarios to determine whether MB fixed the Active Brake Assist? In previous model years it's a huge liability and faulty as it would cause sudden hard braking when it wasn't warranted.

I’ve only seen the error once on my 25. The active brake assist was dangerous on my 21G 63 when backing into a parking space. The lane keep assist was dangerous and they’ve done away with it on the 25. My 24 didn’t have the active brake assist issue.

Happened to me once and that was enough. Approaching rail road tracks and it thought it was a car and slammed on the brakes. Fortunately nobody behind me.

I turn it off every time I get into the car now.

My 2025 arrives likely late next week from the Lydden Carrier and I ordered Rear Infotainment this time. Can you play YouTube?

My understanding is that it is technically possible. Since the rear system is basically two clones of the main infotainment system, the limitations are from MBUX 2.0, if any.

For those with a 2025 and activated dash cam, do you use a USB-C stick or a portable SSD, and how much memory do you use? I assume the dash cam knows to record over old files when it's full?

On my S Class I plugged in a Roku and it worked to play YouTube etc however you have to use headphones (you can’t make it come through speakers). Probably same here. Cadillac and Tesla have a much better system where you can play directly from the screens.

For those going with the Offroad Package PRO, the tires for the US Market are the General Tire Grabber HTS60

USBC flash drive. Yes, it records over once it’s full. This is what the dealer told me to purchase. I got a smaller one from Best Buy. I have it plugged into my center console.

I tinted the windshield. So it’s like PPF in that there is another layer.

PPF seems like clear plastic, like the stuff covering granny’s couch. It’s applied with soapy water. Not sure what residue that would leave behind. Seems pretty inert to me.

it can damage the magno paint when it’s removed. It doesn’t last forever, I had it on my Porsche 911 GT3. Depending on what kind, it can damage regular paint when it’s removed.

It can damage any paint when removed. Saw a video where the clear coat came off with it. Whole car had to be repainted.

I agree, people think they can take it through an automatic car wash and you can’t with PPF. It still has to be ceramic coated also. It’s good for a sports car that sits low, but I don’t see the point on a G Wagon. It also costs about $10K for ful PPF on a G Wagon.

After some sleuthing, I found out all three of the tires supplied new with the W465 G 63 in the US Market:

20”: Grabber HTS60 275/50 R20 (https://www.generaltire-tyres.com/ab...-tire-amg-g63/)

21”: Michelin Latitude Cross 285/45 R21

22”: Goodyear Eagle F1 295/40 R22

I believe for the European Market, the Pirelli Scorpion Zero are an alternative Summer tire for the 22” 295/40 R22.

I should also clarify since I can no longer edit the post, that the Goodyear tires are specifically the Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV, and not the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 SUV.
