Cargo Area Anti-Discombobulation Device
My wife reminds me not to put groceries in the back of the G because they tend to tip over by the time we get home. I assure her this has only happened dozens of times, and I’m confident it won’t happen again…
Anyway, I was curious if there was a quick and easy way to keep stuff, e.g., groceries, from moving around and tipping over in the back of the G.
I found something that works surprisingly well. The manufacturer calls it the “Trunk Cargo Organizer Containment System,” which is a mouthful and somewhat uninspired. I call them simply “Cargo Area Anti-Discombobulation Devices” :-J
When I first saw pictures online, I was semi-skeptical. I didn’t think they’d stay in place. I read the reviews (4.6 stars), and I was encouraged. Reviewers said the devices remained in place surprisingly well on carpet and rubber mats. I torture-tested them, and they were right! They work great
They come as a 3-pack (Dimensions: 8” Length x 6” Width x 4” Height).
BTW, they are stackable, so they don’t take up much room when not in use.
They cost more than they should (about $35) but work well.

I also found a double-layer floor net that works well for grocery bags, etc.
It's well made, and costs about $40.

Hi. I looked at my build sheet, and I ordered:
VG0 Rubber Mat Set $300
includes:
VL4 - Rubber Mat for Load Compartment
PA2 - Interior Rubber Floor Mats
I like these rubber mats, but I bought some really nice after market mats called Tux Mats. I bought these mats for the 1st and 2nd row. They also offer this mat for the cargo area.

I use a half dozen plastic milk crates that Walmart sells for a couple bucks. These work well especially since Colorado banned plastic grocery sacks. These crates can be stacked so things don't get crushed.

I like milk crate idea, but have to chuckle at the fact that Colorado's plastic bag ban has inspired people to buy more plastic to solve the problem created by a plastic ban in the first place. Forward government thinking at it's finest!

Don't get me started on styrofoam that most recycling centers don't want to talk about.
Still waiting for the climate lobby to explain how all this plastic packaging will be produced by renewable energy.

I always liked those thin plastic grocery bags—they were a lazy man’s dream. My personal best, set on December 31, 1999, is 87 bags carried in one trip from car to house, with a total cost of groceries of $43.
A grocery store in Canada (leftists will stop at nothing) got creative with their plastic bags. This may work in Canada, but not in Merica :-J

More unintended consequences -- the hiking trailheads around Boulder had PVC pipe containers located their entrances. I'd take all my grocery sacks and stuff them in these containers for dog walkers to use for poop bags. Now, you have to watch where you step.
