I think we will be seeing the MSRP getting published within a few weeks. The regular G-Klasse order guide with the US market pricing was revealed in May, the same month the first US Market models entered production. Considering there are some September build dates for the G63, I’m positive the MSRP will be published this month or next month. Merceds-Benz will most likely not build and ship the cars to the US without knowing/publishing the price beforehand.

Hi folks. Based on Cars.com, there are now fewer than 100 units of new 2024 G63s (not including the 4x4 Squared) available from dealerships nationwide. Since MB seems to track this number for its performance vehicles fairly closely prior to releasing the MSRP on newer models in the US, I think we may be getting close to getting a firm number for the 2025 G63s from MB. That having been said, it is just my guess. My dealer still has no idea as to what the MSRP for the 2025s will be.
A reminder that the game started on this thread continues to be open to all until a firm price on the MSRP is posted by MB. Hope you are all having fun with this!!!

I remember we were neck and neck with our MY24's, this is spot on... got used to seeing the $7.7M MSRP for awhile

The G580 with the mandatory first edition package is coming in at $185k. I'd imagine the G63 base will start just a few grand over that so it makes sense in the line up.

The good news is that the G63 already has the EPA certification. There are a bunch of G580's arriving in the next few weeks that can't be sold until the EPA certifies them.

With the EPA certification being out, and dealers allowed to sell them as soon as they hit the port, I think pricing will follow very shortly.

G550: 20% More Range

This begs the question: What's your time worth vs spending it having to plan your refueling trips.
Could actually make a round trip to the vacation home on a single tank.
Makes the G550 a compelling proposition for not spending so much time refueling.
And that's without taking the environment into consideration.

Can you elaborate? I'm not certain I understand your point.

[QUOTE=GforMe;9036809]Not sure how to expand on the concept of "Time is Money", but here's an example:
I normally fill up at Costco once a week, even though the gas tank is usually 3/4 full, because I'm there anyway making weekly household purchases .
If I decide to go to the vacation home that week, I can still make it there and back on the same tank of gas in a 2025 G550.
In a G63, it would be cutting to too close and I would need to fill up before the return trip.
Therefor I have doubled my time spent refueling and thinking about where to refuel.
Also, I prefer not to purchase fuel at a location that I'm not sure has the turnover and quality that Costco fuel has.

Gas mileage on my '24 G63 is indeed pretty awful. I'm averaging less than 8 mpg on my local drives (in regular traffic) and about 14 mpg on highways. As I had mentioned on several of my previous posts, I'm VIP at my local gas station given how often I'm there . Nevertheless, the rather significant price gap between the two aside, I think the G63 and G550 are fundamentally different cars. In spite of their similarities in physical appearances, they appeal to two different sets of audience. I knew what I was getting myself into when I purchased my G63, so the gas mileage is more of an annoyance than anything else. I chalk it up as a First World problem. I'm glad it's equipped with a large tank, which does help to mitigate the frequency of my gas station visits. When I step on the accelerator and feel the acceleration on my G63, that amazing G-force sensation coupled with the musical rumbling truncate any misgivings I have about its gas mileage. Personally, I would take the G63 over the G550 any given day. It ultimately comes down to just an issue of personal preference - if you want the G-wagon look, go for the G550; if you want performance, go for the G63.
Be safe.

G ain't the vehicle for anyone with an eye for fuel economy... speaking for myself almost sadistically enjoy the low MPG given how nearly every single vehicle's main ethos these days is maximum fuel efficiency/hybridization/going electric!

I have a Porsche for performance. - Completely agree with you though - Different strokes for different folks.
For me the G Wagon is utility with panache.
Also IMHO, the naturally aspirated flat six has the sweetest adrenaline pumping sound in the automotive world so I can skip MB's V8.

Not sure where you're getting any of this from...Below are the actual EPA numbers for both the 25 63 and 550. As you can see the difference is small and you would definitely not be doubling up on anything with regards to fuel efficiency. At the end of the day it is still shaped like a filing cabinet and is very heavy.
The G550 numbers are not that horrible. I would argue the approximately 20% difference vs the G63 is not trivial.

There are tons of other vehicles to choose from if fuel efficiency is a concern. The G should be close to the bottom of that list.

I would argue in real world applications, drivers will see a smaller difference than 20%. Sure it's obviously going to be more fuel efficient, but the difference won't be like a Corolla's efficiency which the guy Im replying to was implying.

Ferrari's V8, actually V12 for do it for me but I concur with your thoughts. I'm buying G63 for the looks, upgrades, literal utility for daily errands and roadtrips, sound doesn't hurt, but definitely not the performance
He's referring to the very sweet Porsche flat 6
