2020 or 2025 G63? Need advice
Need some advice from fellow g63 owners...
I have a deposit on a 2025 G63, just waiting on my allocation which I believe I am next in line for at my dealer. Based on a probably MSRP of around $190k, I am looking at a $230k purchase price after $15k dealer markup.
I'm wondering if it wouldn't make more sense to look for a deal on a low mileage 2020 or 2021 model. Based on what I'm seeing, a well specced 2020 with <25k miles can be had for $160k or less - saving me around $70k. Even if I drove the wheels off of it, seems like it would still be worth $130k-$140k a couple years later. Obviously I would need to find one I could add an extended warranty to, but what am I missing? Is this a dumb decision?
It would be great to have a new one built exactly how I want it with the touchscreen MBUX, keyless entry, and reduced wind noise would be great. But $70k great?

I went with a 2021. Care less about keyless go or mbux. I dislike the new mouse pad. Easier to scroll. Imo Keyless go takes away from G. Enjoy using the fob. Kind of like taking the time to wind up an automatic watch every few days.
If one wants all the features I would recommend Land Rover or Cadillac. Just my opinion.

Mind if I ask about specs/mileage and what you paid for it?

Cool MB is adding the new features onto th 25s. Just hope they don't overdue it. Touchscreen is ok but new Mbux not for me. I like knobs & buttons. Keyless go can be handy when u have your hands full.

Hey. I wanted one totally different than others. Found 2 in the US @ that moment. Designo Manu. Seablue Metallic w/ platinum white & black interior w/ carbon package. Didn't have to order. Lucked into one on a lot @ Fort Mitchell Cincinnati, OH. Had 16k miles. Roughly $182k on the road.

I can understand that especially with hands full. What a world we live in. Lol. Takes me back to high school/college when I had to always take my fob out.

If your plan is to drive it a ton and you tend to keep cars awhile, then you might as well get a 2020/2021 and enjoy it to the fullest. There is practically zero difference between a 2020/21 and a 2024.
I'd be less inclined to get a new one if I had to pay a mark-up but either way the G will hold its value pretty good compared to other vehicles.
