2020-2022 CPO G550 as Daily Driver?
My beloved top trim Chevy Suburban was totaled by a negligent driver running a red light. I am fine but the car is toast. Was a fantastic SUV, never a single issue. Now I’m shopping for replacements.
Logically, something like a GMC Yukon XL Denali, Ford Expedition Max Platinum, or Suburban Premier makes the most sense as a replacement. However, I’ve seen a few CPO G550s that are tempting me. They have pretty low miles and good options. Prices are around $110-130k, which is a step up but a Denali plus tax is around $100k so it’s not monumental.
However, I can’t find much info on how they hold up past 50k miles. This would be a long term daily driver for me. I’ve had Audi Q7s before, so I understand the maintenance/service requirements for German cars. I test drove one and loved it, but you can only tell so much in 20 minutes.

Get one that comes with the 7 year 100k mile bumper to bumper warranty from Mercedes. You can extend the original 4 year 50k mile warranty up to another 3 years and another 50k miles. This way you won't have to worry about anything but tires, brakes/rotors, and regular maintenance.

I have a 2021 G550 with 50k miles that is my daily driver and the vehicle drives just as good as the day I drove it off the lot. As long as you keep it serviced accordingly it shouldn’t have any issues!
