Changing G63 USA spec tail lights to Euro (ISO) style with Amber Turn/Hazard signals

Has anyone tried converting their USA spec G Class with the red rear turn signals to the European (or should I say, the ISO) standard where the signal/hazard lights are properly amber?

Do the tail lamp assemblies have different part numbers and/or does it involve some internal coding as well to run properly?

I'm really hoping that it's as simple as swapping out the lamp assemblies and plug and play, but I've got a feeling it's probably going to be a bit more involved than that...

I did this on my gl63 and it was a different part number and 100% swap with no modifications or coding. I assume it’d be the same for the G63 - so I suspect you just need to find the right part numbers to buy!

Nice, a fellow amber fan! If you're able to find the correct part numbers, please post them so I can join you. FWIW, they should be plug and play.

Have you gone through the import process? Any surprises?

I am on the fence either to import my Canadian G to Germany or sell it in Canada? Any experience, lessons learned or issues you might have faced will hugely help me decide , appreciate it

For older G-Wagens, swapping to Euro tail lights is usually plug and play with the correct part. For newer models, you'll likely need software coding after the physical swap to activate the amber signal properly.
