Thanks everybody! Driving it more it's definitely smoother off the line than before, and I've seen hints of what it'll be like when it's broken in. It's also quieter.
It doesn't creep as much and when coasting I can feel a little regen for the hybrid battery.
I use 256 GB for the dash cam storage and think that should be plenty. I forget where exactly but the dash cam is activated in the settings I believe. There's a pop up that asks if you want it to turn on when the vehicle turns on.

I do recommend it. It’s $200 and even if not spec’d can be activated after delivery.
I put the thumb drive in the right most usb-c port near the cup holders in the front. Works well.

I purchased it, and it shows activated with a greyed out blue toggle in the MB app. In the car, I do not see anything and when I ask Hey Mercedes, it says no dash cam subscription found. I suppose I'll have to contact MB for it but curious if you or anyone else had a similar experience.
I had spec'd the dash cam from the factory on my '25 and it worked as soon as I plugged in the USB-C drive, nothing about a subscription or activation. By the way I'm using the USB-C slot inside the center compartment, keeps it out of the way since it stays put 99.99% of the time, and leaves the two by the cup holder free and easily accessible for regular use.

Hey @Hodog16 , I see that you’re going too or have installed the windshield protector. Question for you, because I started a whole thread about this, have you used cruise control with the active steering since you installed the windshield protector? I have the Xpel on my G63 and it ever so slightly, but very annoyingly, gently swerves left and right while on the freeway/interstate. Some replies to the thread I created about this issue said it could possibly be the windshield protector messing with the camera alignment. I’d be very interested to know if you’ve experienced this or not. Thank you!
