Picked up my dark olive 2025 G63
For reference, allocation received end of October with February build date. Car boarded the ship on 3/1 and after visiting the UK and Baltimore, it arrived at Brunswick 3/18. I was surprised it only took two days to get the vehicle to the dealer.
Build was upgraded interior with two-tone dash. I added performance pack, monoblocks, dash cam, dark chrome, and black-flamed ash wood. Paid MSRP which was $217,245. Trade-in on my 2024 was great as well-my effective depreciation was only $800 a month.
Drove it around town for about 30 minutes today and initial impressions:
Positives:
-Love love love the magno paint but terrified about upkeep. Guess we will see. It'll get ceramic coated next week, and I've already bought a bunch of Dr. Beasley's stuff. Not doing PPF since I never drive on highways and don't keep cars long enough.
-I had an all saddle interior in my 2023, but I really like the two tone interior. I think from now on, I'll do two tone instead of a single color.
-The interior updates are really, really good. Love the new touch pad, touch screen, lighted air vents, leather airbag cover. and improved stereo.
-Nice to finally have AMG buttons and heated steering wheel.
-The dark chrome is NICE.
-I know some don't care for it but I love the way a new G smells.
-LKAS stays off now.
-Glad I don't have to mess with installing a dash cam. I chose Samsung flash drive due to its low profile.
-Wireless Carplay
-Keyless entry is great but I keep forgetting I have it and still pull the key out of my pocket
-They fixed the weird rear license plate frame bracket
Negatives:
-Auto start stop is back.
-New touch controls on the steering wheel are fussy. It's hard to change volume and when clicking to select the cursor often moves. I'll stick to the center console scroll wheel and touch pad.
-The rear camera view is really annoying at how bad the angle is now, and the camera is much easier to get dirty. They really messed this up in my opinion.
-Car does not sound as good upon start up. It's just like boop on now almost like an EV instead of the engine firing up.
-Installation of mud flaps much harder than before.
It's hard to say about the driving experience yet as I only drive in comfort when I'm in the break-in period. I will say so far it drives different. Not good or bad different but definitely feels different. I guess it does feel smoother? I'll report back when I have more time behind the wheel. I'll be eager to see how it is in sport mode and how the exhaust sounds.
And of course I asked the dealer to put me back on the list

It has that clandestine military special op vibe to it. Can't wait to hear more about it. Congrats, @Hodog16 !!!Stay safe.
My G550 is currently being built and should come the end of April, so we shall see what that means soon enough. This will be my first G wagon ever and I am really anxious to get it and go beyond the 4 mile test drive I did a few months ago.
I just picked up my Dark Olive Metallic Green with Obsidian trim and roof. Need to post pics when i get a moment. How does the dash cam work? I have it but haven't figured it out yet.
The Offroad View is kind of cool although the center diff lock buttons protrude a little more than on my 2019. I miss the IWC clock, the self close drink cover, and the steering wheel controls are really finicky. The car supposedly has hybrid but I can't tell but the car does feel smoother accelerating all around. In Sport mode the downshifts at low speed are a little jarring. I'm thinking the car will adapt to my foot over time. Will post more pics and feedback later.

op, beautiful truck

It doesn't creep as much and when coasting I can feel a little regen for the hybrid battery.
I use 256 GB for the dash cam storage and think that should be plenty. I forget where exactly but the dash cam is activated in the settings I believe. There's a pop up that asks if you want it to turn on when the vehicle turns on.
Hope everybody waiting gets their cars quickly and without any drama!
My to do list the next two weeks:
-Install mud flaps - done
-Dr. Beasley's matte ceramic coating
-Vinyl wrap silver portion of running boards with black satin 3M
-Xpel windshield protection
-Front windows tint
