20" Falken tire pressure - Factory recommendations seem way too high

When I took delivery of my 2025 G550 it had about 33 PSI all around, I inflated them cold to the factory settings according to the drivers door jamb label to 38 PSI front and 46 PSI rear and when driving, they just feel too hard on road imperfections now. My G came with the 20" Falken tires.

Am I running the correct or preferred pressure? Has anyone here experimented for ride quality and tire wear?

Thanks much

I follow the recommendations inside the gas cap. Depends if you run a full vehicle or just yourself.

My gas door/cap has no label at all. My label is on the driver's door frame. It's generally just me in the vehicle, sometimes my girlfriend.

I have the same car (and color, lol). I've been running the recommended per the door sticker at 38 and 46. I have not seen any data to suggest other pressures but I'll watch this thread in case you find something else.

FWIW I would hardly call the ride harsh. I have some pretty bad roads and I think the ride is fantastic. I could be biased because I'm coming from Teslas (Model S, X, and CT was good, but the G550 is better than all).

I would follow the recommandations on the door jamb label anyway.
Did you buy it in Europe ? ( because of the french inscriptions)

Bought in Boston MA....a British colony 😂

All kidding aside, some of us here are trying to figure out why certain 2025 G550's have no PSI load label on the inside of the gas door...

Ha..its really only harsh on the ****iest of Charlotte NC roads, which accounts for about 98% of the roads here.

The door jam pressures, 35 (F) / 44 (R),. are the same as the pressures listed on the gas flap at max load. Gas flap normal loading pressure is spec'd at 32 psi for all 4, so if you took delivery at 33 psi, call it pressure gauge accuracy. If you fill to max pressures and drive under normal loading, you might begin to see some tire wear characteristic of over-inflation, especially on the rear. I keep mine at 34 psi on all 4 corners to keep life simple. It seems to balance tire wear, handling, comfort, fuel economy and my normal vehicle loading.

Hi. My door jamb pressures listed for my 2025 G550 with 20" Falkens is 38 Front / 46 Rear. I have no gas flap/door label (many don't for some reason, some do).

What year and size tire do you have?

My 2019 G550 came with 275/50R20 Pirelli Scorpian P-Zeroes. I changed them out for 275/55R20 Yokohama Geolanders (A/T 3MPSF rated). Pressure calculator at tiresize.com says I should be running a couple psi lower, but IMO it's all an inexact science. More important IMO is to keep tires on the same axle equal pressure. I'm 24K miles into the Yoko's and they're at about half life treadwise. I'll probably change them due to age before they hit 4/32's. I don't observe any unusual wear, so I don't grind on it much.

Thanks so much. I'll try the 34 PSI on all four and see how that feels.
