Keyless entry problem

I’m having issues on my 2025 g63 keyless entry. Opening the door works perfectly but trying to lock the doors is a problem. It rarely works and requires multiple attempts. I have the key with me and touch the pad on the handle but it just doesn’t seem to work. Has anyone else had this issue and is there a fix or something I am doing wrong?

No, I am talking about being unable to lock the driver door by just touching the door handle. Unlocking works fine.

a slight touch or brush of the finger on the indent should lock it

Forum member superswiss recommend using your palm or the whole back of your hand to lock.

I see, never mind then, try using your entire hand to lock as mentioned.

e63s or amg gt 4door
This is a Mercedes issue across all cars. Not exclusive to the g. It is a finicky thing.

Is it the same for all doors? Mine seems to be working okay so far. I usually use my fat thumb lol.

Driver door works some days and not others. Considered it may be related to hand moisture/oil presence. However, The cargo door always works for some reason.

bizarrely this actually worked!! I have to use the back of my hand to lock the car. In my previous BMW I would just walk away and once a certain distance from the car it would automatically lock - wish MB would do something similar!

Yes seems like bmw has walk away lock and walk towards unlock as an option.
