Please post more pictures after you take possession. Have a terrific week!

Man I'm so excited after seeing this! Incredible color!

How long ago did you do windshield film? Any marks on it yet? Have you had to use the windshield wipers yet?

I was told by someone in that biz that it saves your windshield from catastrophe, but you have to replace it once a year, maybe more because it'll show rock chips that normally might bounce off and not cause harm? It's the first thing I asked about when I made the purchase! And I found out my ride is already PPF'd!

Hi @TheVazha -- Thank you! We are really happy with how it turned out. Hope you love the color as much if not more so when you take possession of your G63.

The windshield film has been installed for a little over 6 weeks at this point. The installer used ExoShield as the brand of film -- it has not gotten any marks yet. The windshield wipers do chatter quite a bit on it, though, so we will likely replace the blades before rainy weather sets in during mid- to late fall. Other than that, ExoShield has been great and we have no complaints.

This is the first vehicle where we have installed protective film on the windshield. Not sure how often it needs to be replaced, but we are hoping to get a couple of years or more out of it (fingers crossed) as we do not do much highway/interstate driving.

In case you have not seen them, will link to three threads here on the forums which I found helpful in researching windshield film as well as potential wiper replacements. Great that your G already has PPF installed!

-Windshield phobia
-Wiper rattle after exoshield install
-G63 windshield wipers sticking after protective film

Looks amazing - I love that color combination! For the windshield chatter, the Windy Company wipers (we worked out the fitment details) work great.

Aaaaannd she’s home.

I can say with confidence the tech is truly unfortunate. Is it worth an extra $40K? No.

If there was a retrofit kit out there would I do it? It would be the first mod I do.

That said, for my first time ever sitting in one and then driving it, I get what all the fuss is about. It’s special. I’m not convinced yet though it was worth the price tag. We shall see!

Congratulations! That really is such a beautiful G63. I hope you enjoy it! In certain lighting my Selenite Grey Metallic looks a similar color to the Graphite. My G550 is a 2025 and I am still getting used to the technology, as I find it to be quite good. But, I will put a disclaimer here, I am terrible with technology and very old school. I have a 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser and I LOVE the fact that it is an old dinosaur as far as technology. I took delivery of my G wagon on May 9 and I still have not synced my phone or downloaded the app. I find the technology to be overall pretty easy to use and I have figured out what I need to do for what I want. I am sure I am missing a lot of things. I do know that compared with other vehicles, some people think the technology is not great. I wonder if there is a difference in the technology between 2019-2024 and then the 2025 model? I know keyless entry is only on the 2025 and there are a few other improvements, but I am not sure exactly.
This was also my first G wagon purchase, as I have wanted one for many years. It is a hefty price tag, especially for the G63, but it is an amazing vehicle. I am very happy with my purchase, with really only two things that annoy me. The glare of the inside of the vehicle on the windshield and side windows is a bit annoying, but I am getting used to it. I know this is because of the windows and it has improved a lot compared with previous models, but I wonder why more people don't complain about it. I guess it is just one of the quirks of a G wagon. The other thing is certain angles of visibility. It either has incredible visibility, or I have to look out the back seat window when merging sometimes. I wish the mirrors were a bit bigger like on my Land Cruiser. Oh, and I guess this is just a "me" thing.... the attention it gets sometimes makes me feel like I enjoyed being a bit more incognito in the Land Cruiser. Though, I will tell you, around here there are really no other G wagons and I always get a Jeep wave from oncoming Jeeps. I just wave back. HAHA! I guess I need to get some rubber ducks for the dash? HEHE!

Haha I love the rubber ducks on the dash idea!!

I lived with MBUZ for three years in the E63S. And we had Command on my wifes old GLE, and now again in this G63. I didn't think it would bother me as much because of the redundancy in the whole system. There are only a handful of items to display, and a hundred ways to display it. I have my speedo in the screen as a digital read out, as a digital representation of an analog speedo, and oh yeah, there it is again in my HUD. Why I need three places to tell me how fast I'm going all within 12" of each other is beyond me. Also with constantly being hooked up to Apple Car Play, the center screen resolution was inconsequential.

Where MBUX absolutely CRUSHES is the touch screen and track pad. The touch screen not as much because I hate smudges on my screen (OCD), but it's certainly helpful to slam a button on the screen when in a pinch. It's super fast and not glitchy. I'm not too worried about the resolution of the screen, eye's should be on the road anyway.

Also keyless entry. Never realized how useful this is until it's gone. On several occasion already I've reached for the door and got a big old nothingburger.

I like the rubber ducks as well and I am seriously thinking of getting some just to fit in with the myriad of Jeeps in my area. If anything, I am sure it will be a good laugh. I see what you mean, as I have learned there are so many different ways to see the same thing. I have my driver's dash set to "Classic" view and figured out how to toggle up and down and keep it on the navigation map in the middle. I keep the other information display set to the navigation screen. I am glad when I start it up, it goes to that display. I have not used the touch pad much, but I know it changed from 2019-2024 in the 2025 model. It seems to work well, and I agree, the touch screen is extremely responsive. I am the same way, I absolutely hate fingerprints or smudges on my screen, so I keep a stylus in the door pocket for when I use the center screen. I initially found the climate control system to be a bit weird, but I figured out it needs to be on A/C Rest and the Auto setting does have different power modes - mine was set to the lowest mode originally. I am not big into voice activation, but I do find it to work really well for doing many things easily.

One thing I need to figure out is the Apple car play. I did sync my phone today and can see the Apple CarPlay and seems to work really well wireless, but every time I initially open my phone it asks me to join the MB Wireless and I have to clear it and it is so annoying. It just automatically pops up on my phone when I go in the car and start it. I need to figure out how to stop that or disable it, as I don't understand the WiFi part of it. Does that happen in your 2024?

Yeah, keyless entry is a huge improvement on the 2025.

I never did wireless carplay, my issue was the sound. I always try to optimize for best quality so I'm always wired. Also it allows the phone to be fully charged all the time. As far as the setting, see if there's a setting that asks you to autojoin as opposed to you selecting to join. That might solve your problem!

Do you have a part number for the wipers? I tried searching their site with "enter make/model" and nothing came up..

Huge congrats and welcome to the G-club!

That G63 is a beast — great mix of luxury and off-road capability that keeps people hooked. Enjoy breaking it in, and definitely hit us with pics and mods you’re planning!

I did the running boards. Insanely easy to do, just tedious. I took the plastic guards off on both sides so I can get a better fit left and right, and just followed instructions. If you’ve ever slapped a sticker on your garage fridge, you can do this.

It looks great in the shade, or from 10 feet away. But in the sun or up close, it looks like cheap eBay Chinese mod. My gripe with it is that it’s too shiny and too textured. If the material was matte and less textured, it would be spot on. I imagine they did the texture because leaving it smooth would show marks immediately.

All in all, it’s fine. Looks marginally better than the shiny, but I’m not sure it’s the right solution. I’m gonna let it ride until the first peel/scuff/gouge and then I’m ripping them off and going OEM black replacement!

you should be able to find them under vehicles. Make sure they show up 17” and not 16.
