Just picked up my very first Mercedes vehicle
My build is nothing special. My favorite color is black. So it's obsidian black, black interior, and night package. I didn't opt for the night package plus because I actually like the badges to be chrome. I think it looks nice standing out. Only wish the step boards were black. I did add the AMG Performance package from forum member's advice due to the suspension. The V8 sounds so good! I am coming from Range Rovers and Teslas.
Any thoughts on maintenance plan and extended warranty plan that the dealer was trying to sell me? I am not sure what the maintenance schedule or cost is for a G63. But they were selling me a 4 year prepaid plan for $4710 plus tax. I feel like that's a little expensive. This won't be my daily driver, so miles will be low. I have a Tesla to commute to work for most of the days.
Also the extended warranty was over $9000.
First picture is from me walking up to it from where I arrived!

I feel like we have been following each other's journey since I just picked mine up last month as well. So, I am very happy to see you finally take delivery. As far as extended warranties, I know someone on here who works at Highline Autos offers extended warranties. I ended up going with the $9,000+ extended warranty from the dealership, just because I wanted the peace of mind - even though like you, this is not really a daily driver and I only do maybe 5,000 miles a year. I did NOT get the prepaid maintenance plan, as it was similar priced, but a bit less because I have a G550, but I said no. I am fine paying for routine maintenance on my own. I am sure you save some, but it was not worth it to me.
Looking forward to seeing more photos. Again, congratulations and so happy for you!!!!!

If the maintenance plan includes brakes and rotors, do it. Don't wait, don't question it, just do it.
Warranty go aftermarket after factory expires. You still get to go to dealer for repair, you still get a loaner vehicle.

I asked about the maintenance plan. Does not include brakes. So seems like the $4710 for 4 years seems very expensive. Especially since I'll probably do less than 10,000 miles on the G63 a year.
