Climate control fan speed question (rear seats)

Hey all,

So every time I get in my 2025 G550 and start it up, the A/C starts up which of course is normal. The fan speed for the front passengers stays set at the speed I selected, but the rear seats fan speed goes full speed. So I reach behind the center console and toggle the speed down and it's fine......until I start up again, then it ramps up to full speed for the rear passengers again, but the front passenger fan speed remains where its been set.

Hope I explained it well.

Thanks much

My 2020 G 63 and 2024 G 63 do the same thing. I poked around in settings, but I've never been able to find the solution. I bet there's a setting someplace, but I never found it.

Have you tried through the climate menu by clicking the Menu button in the middle of the giant panel of controls above the clock?

Once you get everything set the way you want, I’d also suggest saving it to your Mercedes account profile (or setting up a profile if you don’t already have one) and also saving your seat memory (just in case that helps it to trigger a profile settings save).

I have two Mercedes and my wife and I each have a profile that shows up in each of our cars. It tends to remember things like ambient lightning, AC settings, and not just seat position. Sometime it also doesn’t work!

Thank you for bringing this up, as I had wondered about that as well. I am curious about your general A/C settings for the front seats.... I have mine set to AUTO, and I noticed there are a few fan speed levels for AUTO, but it seems like I also need to have A/C REST pushed for it to do air conditioning. Maybe I am missing something, but when I have it just on AUTO without the A/C REST button pushed (it stays on) I don't feel like it creates air conditioned cool air. I also had to increase the fan speed for AUTO, as it was set to the lowest and wondered why I don't hear it much. Now it works great, but I am still curious if others have to do A/C REST. I need to look at the settings for the rear seats and see if you can change that on the climate menu on the screen.
