iPop Integration for 05 G55
Can anyone help... the Benz dealership surely can't. Owning a benz is not what it use to be.

It is possible to wire your ipod's audio directly into the line-in of the COMAND unit in your G55, but the new Mercedes iPod integration kit mentioned on the MBUSA website is not compatible with the electronics on the G-Class. If you use the first option, the line-in, you get superior audio quality but it requires ordering a special cable from your dealer and removing the COMAND unit to connect it. Search the forums and you'll find threads discussing this back in 2002.

I just got an 06 G55 and im having the same problem. The dealership tells me there is no Ipod intergration available for the G wagon. Any suggestions?

One suggestion, read this thread. Several options are mentioned. The G-Class uses older electronics which are not compatible with the Mercedes iPod kit. It's likely the 2008 G-Class will have an updated interior with the newer electronics, but for now it is still possible to have high-quality audio from the iPod pumped through your G55's harmon/kardon sound system using an audio line-in cable.
